How the hell did this marketing muppet - albeit a very good marketing muppet - ever get put in charge of transfers. If the stories are to be believed and we were haggling over £1.4 mill for Pedro then wtf !! Can't a marketing guy see the difference in shifting some Pedro shirts to recoup the additional cost as opposed to shifting no Pedro shirts at all.

We seriously need to get rid. What point trying to improve play on the pitch when transfer targets are 'lost' to our rivals on what seems (if you believe the press) on an all too regular basis.

Worse case scenario - let Woodward work on the marketing and get in someone with experience in the market to negotiate transfers.

I agree. Glazer hasn't got a clue. Rubbish negotiator who has only bought, Mata, Depay, Schneiderlin, Bastien, Fellaini, Blind, Darmien, Rojo.

If that's the case he needs to decide who he does want and get him in sharpish.

The transfer policy at United is akin to a 12 year old trying to buy all the players he recognises on championship manager.

You've signed some good players but for the life of me I can't work out why you are still short in some areas of the squad having brought so many and spent so much. Its a farce really.

It ain't difficult - we need players for certain positions where we are lacking. We don't need 14 midfielders, we don't need kit men, water boys or f*#]ing ball boys - there are only so many plaayers for each position who fit the bill and who will fit with the manager's 'flossiffy', the money is in the drawer - so go get. Whoever you buy will recoup the cash in shirts merchandise etc

Yeh. Woodward out. Based on absolutely **** all bar how you perceive him.

    Schneiderlin
Depay - who was reported as agreeing a deal with PSG just before we signed him...
    Schweinsteiger
    Darmian

Useless ****er eh, him and van Gaal clearly have no idea what they are doing. Our vastly improved start was merely a fluke.

    You'd make great Liverpool fans.

Utter ****ing bollocks. Get a grip lad. Just cos the misery brigade are melting down over everything the club does doesnt mean its wrong.

Were you chanting for Fergie and Gill to go whe we messed up the Hazard transfer? O very much doubt it.

    Did we need Hazard?

No, did we ****. He would have been a very nice luxury but our squad was strong.

The fact is we have let two strikers go and have so far not replaced them. We've got Hernandez back so we need a forward and the season has started without any sign of one.

It's not meltdown just because it doesn't fit your script. It's common sense.

Had this been Moyes you'd be singing another song. You've been papping on about some plan or other for weeks, well it's pretty clear that the new forward we patently need hasn't been planned very well.

I think we could have done with Hazard. Fergie thought so, at least a player like him anyway. We also tried for Lucaa Moura around the same time.

We didnt get either then. I recall no meltdowns <ok>

I'm not comparing the two managers, I'm comparing your attitude to them.

There was no meltdown on Hazard as he wasn't a player we were in need of at that time. As was proven by us winning the league the very next season.

We need another forward. Simple fact, plain and clear. Pedro would have fitted that bill yet he's gone to Chelsea so it's not all ok.

Woodward and LVG have made 4 great signings, a couple of which were driven by them. But have a look at this which we can't get away from...

They wanted a centre-back they didn't get and now don't want another defender.

Our best goalkeeper wants to leave and isn't playing.

We couldn't hold on to our record signing, instead he chose to go awol and force a move away.

We need a striker but won't sign one.

We want a forward/goalscorer but Pedro is joining Chelsea.

It would be fair to argue it's another chaotic, ill-prepared transfer window with 13 days until deadline day.

This is a picture of Woodwood on holiday in Barcelona. It was taken outside of the John Bull pub where he went every morning for two fried eggs, a hash brown and a pint of Boddingtons.

Woodwood got confused. He forgot to write down the name of the player he'd been sent to Barcelona to sign. He knew it was something very Spanish. Then he remembered and he got his man.

My point is simply this. Off the pitch football is simply another global commercial enterprise and in any other successful business you will find specialists in specialist posts, not generalists just filling in or making the best of it. My missus is in sales, she has worked in sales all her working life and could literally sell ice to an eskimo - ask her to fix a freezer and she could not.

Woodward has the aura of a man who has been moved into transfers from marketing while the transfer guy is on holiday. He can do it sure, but he isn't the best - and that is the difference. There has to be a better way of conducting transfer business rather than sending the guy who specialises in commercial marketing and sponsorship partnerships.

We need one guy working in tandem with LVG to oversee scouting and all of the other facets of transfer dealings. Woodwards role should extend to nothing more than signing the cheque and dividing the transfer fee by shirts sold on a spreadsheet.

If we want to be the best, we need the best people doing the right job. The same applies as much off the pitch as on it.

    Exactly.

Still time Treble but to think you could lose 2 recognised strikers, your best player/keeper from the last 2 seasons and your most expensive player Di Maria in the matter of one window and end up still in need of a top class keeper, central defender and striker. If that happens, major questions need asking as this is the 3rd transfer window in a row that has descended into farce and last minute additions.

Midfield looks finally to be sorted but a whole host of other problems and issues to sort out.

Unless there is some explosive new announcement of a massive signing before the end of the window, this shows how stupid that pratt Woodward is. If he actually went to Barcelona to argue about a couple of million pounds, then he wants to be hung by the balls.

GET THE **** OUT OF THIS CLUB YOU INCOMPETENT PRATT
