Lots of local government workers outed in the released data from the Ashley Maddison hacking scandal. they were foolish to join the site from their works official computers, red face faces, divorces and a place on the unemployment register await! http://boards.4chan.org/pol/thread/49904267/uk-government-ashley-madison-accounts-part-one
muppets................... the site should not have been taking ip addresses, etc etc so it really was a scumbag set up so anyone caught out gets what they deserved and the hackers did an interesting job there. I think publishing creditcard numbers is a wee bit too far but again... if you knew you were signed up and info was stolen you should have dealt with it 4 months ago. muppets. FFS... there's a lot easier ways of going about it than using your work pc and real name and address!
I think it's a ****ing disgrace that these internet geeks think they've got a right to 'expose' what people choose to do in private. Posting those who were daft enough to use work e-mail accounts, doesn't place them on the moral high ground here. It's the same as the celeb picture hacking, it's plain wrong.
It does highlight some interesting things about this site. i think yeah they are wrong and were always going to post having t pay to get details removed and having huge numbers of fake women accounts on it etc is funny.
I had no idea who Ashley Madison is/was/might be, so I looked it up. Wiki says: I obviously live in a different world....
It highlights a new wave of cyber geeks who are seeking their kicks by using their hacking skills in a way that attempts to set themselves up as moral crusaders. Their crime is somehow justified because the target of it, is widely seen as immoral. This sort of judgement sets a dangerous precedent as any section of society could be deemed by them as 'fair game' dependant on a moral code decided by them. Not comfortable with the entire bag of worms this opens tbh.
Is your name on the list saint?, you seem very edgy about the leaks. or are the leaks down to old age.
Wasn't it revealed that there is a city in Canada where one in 5 people are registered users of Ashley Madison? Or am I imagining things? ****s going to hit the fan there.
Was it Leonard Nimroy who said "Women try hard to change a man, and then when they succeed complain he's not the man she used to know."
