    Don't Even Watch!

At the risk of going all Mr T, my advice is this. If you have a fence you've been meaning to creosote, or you've been meaning to tidy up the garage, or wash the car, or you've been promising to take the Mrs shopping - hell, even if you've been meaning to visit some old relative before they pop their clogs - do it this weekend instead of watching the football. We're gonna get hammered!

The result doesn't even matter that much. As long as Steve learns something about his squad, and some of our players get more used to playing together, then as long as it doesn't get to nightmare proportions who cares how many they beat us by?

    Prediction: 4-0

Nah, we got this lads. 1-2 Toon victory. Goals for us by Gini and let's say Haidara. He's getting a bit of stick recently so I think that would be nice.

Man U only score because Janmaat is suspended. Let's give it to Darmian as he's in my FF team

I reckon we will get something out of this. It will be a pity as i was hoping for a hatrick by Depay so i could go with the classic headline:
Boys from Winga nowhere to be seen on Depay day.

The players will grow an inferiority complex the moment they put on their fruit mentos rappers on in the dressing room.

Can't see us getting anything 3-0 for me with our defence all at sea again. How many of the goals against will be headers? One of these days SteveMc will wake up and smell the coffee and realise we desperately need a commanding CB.

Good to see young Arma get yet another one for Coventry tonight making 5 in 3 games. Chasing Micky Quinns record of 10 in 6 games. Go on my son.

Right Nev, I have fences that need creosoting, my garage needs tidying up, my car needs washing and my Mrs wants to go shopping - with your credit card.

Thanks for offering. I'm off to the pub with the lads. <cheers>

    My prediction, 6-0.

She wont get far on my credit card. It has about as much in reserve as our defence!

But like our defence, your card will still take a right battering.

You're mixing me up with Janmaat. He is the one with plenty of cards!

Lets talk about Arma's majestic form, because I have a feeling this will not be pretty. A resounding 4-0 which could have been 6.

    Arma will need recalled soon...

My line up for United -

    -----------Mitrovic------------
    --Obertan-----------Perez-
    --------------Wijnal--------------
    ------Tiote---------Colback-------
    Haidara--Colo--Mbeba--Anita
    ---------------Krul------------

Anita and Colback haven't been a great CDM pairing for me. Too similar.

We need more of a defensive presence. Time to get Tiote back in. He might not be quite up to speed after time out, but we need to try something different.

Sissoko and Wijnal are not really effective CDMs, and we're in desperate need of an effective ball winner.

I'd play Perez on the wing and have them up front in a 4-3-3 like formation, and have Tiote and colback push to protect fullbacks.

We need more of a presence up front. If he cannot whip good crosses in, we need a strong presence that can draw in defenders, fight, and create space for the likes of Wijnal and perez.

To be honest I think Nev's match day thread format is getting a bit jaded. He was okay the first week but its going downhill. In the interests of keeping this fresh I think we should have a new guest match day editor every week until we actually win a game and then stick with them until their winning streak ends. Format could be completely open - only criteria is that you have to mention who we are playing, when and where. We can vote for the new match day thread the week after each (any) defeat. And in the words of the great ideas man, JPF I will now leave it to Nev to sort out how the voting works.

I would like to see Perez given a game as well - I would probably put Sissoko in Obertan's place.

Sissoko is injured. Sissoko isn't even a RW, never mind LW.

If Sissoko was fit I'd play him, but I think he'll be rested.
