Well this is a bit Swanky

Hello fellow ex 606ers. Like a Lib Dem MP ditching policies, i have ditched 606.

RIP.

To pressing news. Following Liverpools win last night and the mackems making a gap it is so important we win our game in hand if we have any hope of getting to Europe. I have set my target higher than just survival, why not aim for some euro away trips.

Adding to this i would like Arsenal to win the League Cup. Why? because if Brum win they will take a spot in the Europa otherwise given to a PL placement. Arsenal being likley to finish in the champions league spot. Ironcally Brum are our game in hand!

Exactly, if you dont aim high, you will never achieve anything. Until we mathematically cannot finish in Europe i will aim for it.
I think we have just about enough to see off Brum.

Details for the rearranged game at Birmingham City's St.Andrew's have been released by NUFC:



Following discussion with the Premier League and the Football Association, the following scenarios exist:



1. Should Birmingham's FA Cup fourth round match against Coventry on Saturday January 29 end in a draw then the replay will take place on Tuesday, February 15. In these circumstances United's league fixture at Birmingham will take place on Wednesday, March 16.



2. If Birmingham beat Coventry and progress to the FA Cup fifth round Newcastle's league fixture will take place on February 15 as is currently scheduled.



3. If Birmingham lose to Coventry on January 29, The Magpies' fixture at Birmingham will be moved to the free weekend of FA Cup fifth round - February 19 or 20.

 

15th feb, could be 19th if Birmingham lose in the cup, if they get a replay, then it will be march.

 

i've also had a rethink on the toons target this season up until a few weeks back i've said survival at best but to be honest i've not seen a team that on our day and a full strength team we couldn't beat.
top ten is totally realistic in my eyes.
