Firmino is older and cost more (age 24 next month, £29 mil)
Memphis is younger and cheaper (age 21, £24 mil)

Therefore, Firmino must be better. who pays more for older guys, unless they are much better.

To be fair Firmino has yet to show what he can do in the premiership.

That's a fair comment (although League 1 standard is harsh on Bruges!). I thought he might have a good game last night as he was up against the level of players he faced in Holland. Still, it's good for his confidence. Certainly better than sitting on the bench watching Lalala spinning around and around and around.

Not sure how he's been used in the league games but I heard he was out on the left against Brugge - which is good for him because he's very good at cutting in. Suits his game.

Think they are better than the likes of Villa and Sunderland tbf. Probably better than Celtic who would at best, be championship quality.

    europa league semi finalists right?

Depay found his range for sure. Januzaj also looked confident again, taking 2 or 3 on at a time.

Depay does that in the next league match and we've found our fear factor again.

They're better than League 1. They topped their Europa League group unbeaten last season and got through to the QF, losing out by one goal over two legs to the team that was edged out by Sevilla in the final. Bottom half of PL but not League 1!

Depay has a lot to learn, some of the silly flicks and decision making has to improve, but the raw talent is there, no doubt about that. The thing I like about him is his directness. When he gets the ball he looks to do something positive with it. I like Oxlade-Chamberlain for the same reason (I'm not comparing the quality, ability or potential of the two players, just their approach to the game, thought that was worth mentioning before Statto latched onto it). Contrast that to someone like Valencia who looks scared ****less when he gets the ball!

Fair enough. Still more expensive than Firmino at 22m then <ok>

And Lallana has paid back half of his fee from Nivea advertising <whistle>
