He paints the club as one of two things in my eyes.

    1) Ambitionless.
    2) Untrustworthy. If Ellis can "lie" about transfer dealings publicly, what else can he lie about.

It might blow over in a few days OR it potentially (I'm not sure you'll go down per se) relegates you.

Today's headlines are tomorrow's chip wrapper.

This story will be old news by the weekend, and prehistoric before the end of the month.

Yep, rotten timing. Dangerous attitude. I really don't want Sunderland fans in the media behaving like fans instead of journalists. Just fueling the fire and putting people off

Not to a player who's currently in talks with the club or we're about to approach. It's very now, very relevant and very public.

Would you look at our results and that article(the one Publicly stating the shirts are too big for the players) and think you could really develop your football career here better then any other club in the league?

    I wouldn't.

You're presently bottom of the league and now you have this. Anyone you are currently dealing with could well be put off now for the reasons I stated above.

Yeh, as Funky just reminded me, I didn't really think that through did I <doh>

Haven't read the article in depth either, other than what was posted earlier, (don't think it mention oversized shirts, wtf?)?

At the end of the day though, money usually talks. Why would players sign for obscure Russian teams were that not the case?

Non of this should come as any surprise, MG is a presenter on talk sport he was at the stadium on Saturday with that other fan of Sunderland the one and only Mr Graham Courtney once publicity officer of NUFC. I would not be surprised if he had a hand in this, Mickey Gray is like those other Sunderland Legends GR and GB they would do and say anything to keep their media jobs, the last thing they would consider is any damage they might inflict on SAFC.

But Advocaat was in fighting mood when asked about the comments, saying: “I heard a story about Michael Gray.
“Let’s say first, I have all respect for the club’s legends. But I heard a story that when Sunderland were relegated, and my ears are always open, 60 or 90 people found out that they were fired, and Mr Gray arrived here with a new Ferrari.
“If I know that 90 people have to go because we are going down, then I would go on my bike I think, not a Ferrari. That says enough about the mentality of that man. He is not a friend again now.”

probably says it all although I did get this from the chronicle

Well I used to be a waiter at Frankie & Benny's Boldon and Mickey Gray used to turn up in said Ferrari regularly and tip the waiters 20p. True story. The guy is cheap. DA telling us that MG lacks class doesn't really surprise me.

Wasn't expecting him to tip in relation to his pay, just tip like any other normal human or not tip at all. If you didn't tip the waiters didn't care but less than 1% of the bill and you are taking the piss. Mickey got special attention from the 'chefs' due to his generous nature.

I ended up on a night out with Mickey Gray and a lot of other lads. Mickey was a dick of the highest order so it was good fun and fair when a mate rubbed a piece of pizza in his face in front of the whole taxi queue. I don't want to go into details but he was lucky to get off with just the pizza. Also a massive piss head who crashed his car and ran off pissed so he couldn't get done!

I remember hearing that at the time and thought, 'classless ****'. He still is, he works for talk sport.
