    A Dyer state of affairs

Kieron Dyer is on his way to Queens Park Rangers on a 'free transfer'. He has also agreed to drop his wages to stay in the Premier League, although I believe he can probably cope with the hardship.

Having started just 18 games in FOUR years, Dyer graciously accepted a reduction to his weekly salary of £83,000, which was made up of a basic wage of around £73,000, a £100,000 'loyalty fee' and a further £424,000 in 'image rights'.

Add in the £6m that West Ham paid to Newcastle in the first place and it is estimated Dyer cost a grand total of £23,260,000. I'm assuming those image rights he had were with BUPA because that works out at £1.3m a game.

Hopefully, he can give better value at QPR. But with Bernie Ecclestone and his tubby, tanned poodle Flavio Briatore rumoured to be selling up, Dyer might even be in a position to buy the club.

QPR new boy Kieron Dyer has hit out at West Ham for their medical treatment during his injury-ravaged spell at the club.

Dyer has joined Premier League new boys QPR on a free transfer after being released by West Ham earlier this summer.

The 32-year-old endured an injury-hit four seasons at Upton Park and he has blamed some of his fitness problems on the bad advice he got from the club's medical team.
    Frustrating

"It's very frustrating when you're doing all you can to get fit but you're being told the wrong information," Dyer told the Daily Express.

Kieron Dyer on his fitness problems at West Ham Quotes of the week

"Two seasons ago I was out with a hamstring injury for almost the whole season. I kept coming back on advice but kept pulling my hamstring. I went to see a specialist who said 'You've got a big piece of scar tissue in your leg. Break it down and you'll never have a hamstring problem again'.

"I broke that down and what happened? I never had a hamstring problem again.

"It's frustrating when you're doing everything you're told to do but you're being misdiagnosed, so you're doing all the rehab but you're doing the wrong rehab," he said.

"You come back and break down again and you go and see another specialist and they say, 'Why have you been doing that?' That happened a number of times where I lost months and months of the season."

I remember Stefan Iversen ( think thats his name) when he was at Tottenham. Had a pretty torrid time with injuries. Happen to remember reading a article when he left where he slammed their medical team, would like to know what happened to him afterwards injury wise. Not totally out of the question what Dyer is saying I suppose. I am quite looking forward to seeing what happens with him, cause if he "can" keep himself fit I think we may of picked up a good deal.

The worrying thing is that the papers are reporting that Dyer has been signed to replace Adel.
