I'm not knocking the Landau's musical ability in any way, folks. They can play. I just didn't get into it at all.

Also, they overuse the gimmick of, and I will coin the phrase, 'dramatic juddery'. All stop/start, staccato blasts in between changes - very Biffy Clyro, minus the electric guitars. Y'know what I mean?

Clever once or twice I thought, but not 15 times a song.

Yeah, Mick Mcgarry and Lloyd Dobbs. Just off round for a festival de-brief meeting now, actually. Knowing them, it'll turn into the usual piss-up...

Anyway, next local gig will probably be at Cottingham Civic Hall, supporting Oysterband, Sept 5th :)

ok i cant make a comparison , but you seem allowed to make one , for the record , ive spent a lot of time in York , my eldest lad lives there , ive probably been a regular visitor for 20 yrs only popping into the centre on the occasional weekend , :p stick that on the shoulder and balance it !

But back to the point , the regeneration of Hull is all about the city centre experience , there is probably one half decent restaurant , a few dated museums and a flicker of innovation and creativity happening in a hard to reach area of Hull ,

As you can't agree on what theres to do in our City , please feel free to compile a list , make sure it contains a smattering of variety and a tiny sprinkle of uniqueness - even if just to the county :

    Thanks

There's plenty to do in Hull if you go off the beaten track. Maybe we do need to start listing some recommendations. I'll start.

Open Mic jazz night in Pave on a Tuesday.

The Sesh also on a Tuesday at Polar Bear.

Cult cinema Sunday every month at Fruit.

Would genuinely interested to hear people's recommendations.

I haven't got the time or will power to list everything that goes on in Hull. If you can't find it, it's a bigger reflection on yourself than anything else.
