Seems odd that they'd sell him after buying him a month or two ago.

My thoughts exactly. How could they expect £6m after signing him for £525k last month.

No disrespect to Brentford but it`s coming to something when we`re fighting off clubs like that to land a player.

Why are we buying an u21 striker when we`ve got Watmore sitting doing nothing and itching like hell to be out there? He has actually scored in his 20 minutes in the prem.

This Haller chap needs to be a bit special imo.

We hadn't heard of Ayoze Perez before he joined. This guy could be your Perez (just not as good) ;)

I'm all for giving Watmore his chance but he's not the player to be leading the line from what I've seen, he's a bit small and lightweight for a start. This guy Haller is 6 foot 2 according to wiki so might be more what the doctor ordered, I've never heard of him like so have no idea if he's any good but he's not Steven Fletcher or Danny Grahm so that's a start.

I always thought there were rules against signing and selling players in the same window, or am I just making that up?

    That`s certainly a plus.

I would trust DA`s judgment over mine and if this lad can use his size who knows.

No idea about the rules mind, here or abroad.

Isn't it the case that they had him on loan with a pre-arranged fee and he developed incredibly over the season?

We are all a bit negative right now, but as our esteemed Mag pal says, sometimes the unknowns can have a bit of magic, and this feels like an Advocaat pick, if true.

No. No, no, no, no, no. Sunderland, no. Stop. Move away from the random unproved youngster.

A club like Swansea can afford to take a punt on a lad who's been decent for half a season in a **** league, we can't. We need someone who's proven they can cut it in one of the big leagues (Prem, Germany, Spain, Italy), on a consistent basis for at least two years. Surely we can't even entertain the diea of another random youngster. We'll be pinning our hopes on him. If he's another Jozy, that's it, we're out the league.

The lad could be amazing, but we just can't afford the risk imo.

Not bothered about this at all.

We need defenders and a midfielder who can get forward.

This is just more preparing for the championship.

Austin is available and is proven. Stones is going to cost Chelsea 50m by the looks of it. Prices are silly, its pay up or go down, simple as that.

Missed training today apparently, could mean he's on his way in for talks. Agree with Nads, looks like it the pick of a Dick. Dick knows what we need more than anyone, it's his vision on how he wants to play after all. So with that in mind he'll get no pre-signing judgement from me but the lad will get my full support and an open mind.
