Huddlestone should be the best player in the division but he will carry on like he did last year if we keep him, dosile as they come!
You can Read it again. You will see what I mean. Though it is not that important in the grand scheme of things. The point is Huddlestone slows things down and doesn't provide killer passes.
Because they are teams from similar sized cities who we should have been playing this season. We look pedestrian in comparison. And not only to them but teams in this division.
I agree, also I would add his lack of mobility means our midfield can get bypassed by players a lot lesser than him technically. He reminds me of one of these older players like John Barnes who got into their late 30's and still had the skill but couldn't move, so when you think he is only late 20's I would cash in ASAP, think Bruce agrees seeing as he is flagging up his availability
Swansea are an established premier league team, compare us to them and we're always going to come up short, the size of the city has nothing to do with it. I agree we are looking pedestrian but we have half a team that have never played for us before and half a team that are adjusting to the championship, we've only had 3 games, give them a chance.
Swansea are an established PLTeam? How many seasons have they had in the PL in comparison to us? It is quite valid comparing them to ourselves. Similar sized city, council funded stadium but smaller than ours at the moment. We cannot be expected to compete with larger cities with stadiums holding 40, 50 and 60 thousand supporters but it is quite reasonable to expect us to compete with the likes of Swansea and Leicester. The difference being the way they are run.
If 5 consecutive seasons with mid-table and top ten finishes doesn't count as established then what does? Its such a negative attitude to look at the best teams and complain that we're not doing the same or better than them, think of all the bigger clubs from bigger cities that we've outperformed in the last decade and appreciate how well we've done instead.
