If he did it at the half way line it's a foul

    It's fairly obvious

It's also obvious that lovern got his position wrong and made the most of it too.

    Ours was daylight robbery.

Balances itself up over the season they say. But, if Bournemouth were relegated at the end of the season because
of one point or goal difference Eddie Howe will look back to this game.:emoticon-0182-poolp

I said I wanted us to defend well and control matches. We did neither.

Just because we kept a clean sheet doesn't mean that we defended well. <ok>

Yep noticed that also. Feels like Rodgers is shoe-horning Lallana in.

But .. if Henderson didn;t go off injured, Lallana would have been hooked I reckon.

Brendan Rodgers is however pleased with Lovern. He said he can have that position, I gathered.

What foul? Oh, you mean the one that even Carragher said wasn't a foul at all, that one?

Nice avoidance of the fact that you didn't undertand the new offside rule btw x

The thing is Jimmy, you comment on what you see, not what you want to believe, that's why are often in the minority! Anyone who thinks Liverpool defended well last night wants their football head checking.

Sorry you can't say Lallana was useless but Ibe showed promise.

Ibe was poor. Offered nothing going forward and didn't get involved enough.

Lallana wasn't great but last 15 mins of first half for much more involved and also did a good job defensively in the 2nd half when trying to see the game out.

I agree, he struggled but he did make some good runs which were promising. And I did say he's still raw and nowhere near Sterling's level.

But you're comparing a 19 year old with limited experience with a player who cost £25m and supposedly in the prime of his career.

Well if you want to be simplistic about it then fair enough.

For the record - we did concede. <ok>

  14. Ibe was our worst player IMO. The lad as the ability but he had a mere yesterday.

  15. True and I'll accept that Lovren was very poor in that 'fake goal' too <ok>

Because I don't judge players on their price tag. I judge players on how they performed during the game and Ibe wasn't up to standard yesterday

And I agree that Lallana did work hard defensively. That aspect of his game is not under dispute.

  18. Lallana didn't do anything wrong offensively either. He maintained possession and kept the moves going. You just don't like him or his price tag.

Exclude price tag and you can ignore his experience as well - was there much difference between Lallana and Ibe?

Yes.... One had a decent 7/10 game and the other had a 5/10 (being generous). I really like Ibe, but he had a poor game yesterday and against Stoke he wasn't brilliant.

Think he needs to drop out and be used as impact sub for few games before works his way back in.

Id play can hendo Milner in cm. cout and Lallana wide of benteke going into arsenal game.
