Well they went and done it again, shot themselves in the foot, not content with smashing their own town up, which happens from time to time, but brought British football back into the limelight, for all the wrong reasons, so for any of you morons, who might read this, you should be shot with ****, no wonder we cant get a ****in world cup, its mindless maggots like you who hold us back, but then again, you dont care, you wear a black and white shirt, so you belong to the toon, well let me tell you KNOBHEADS, I know true supporters of Newcastle are shaking their heads, right now, and asking ` why us` because you have let England, AND THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND DOWN. but you dont care, you dont realy do football, do you? but being a face thing is all. I pity you when you play down south, cos you will get battered, but then again, you dont do football do you? so you wont be there. but loyal supporters will,,,,, and they may well have to pay for your bravado, you bunch of ****s.

Newcastle's opening pre-season friendly at Darlington was marred by two pitch

    invasions on Friday night.

Joey Barton put United ahead after two minutes before Sammy Ameobi doubled the lead, 10 minutes into the second half.

Newcastle fans then invaded the field at the Darlington Arena with Barton and team-mate Alan Smith urging them to return to the away end.

But when the match restarted, fans flooded back onto the pitch forcing another delay.

The pitch was again cleared, with Newcastle manager Alan Pardew and assistant manager John Carver walking over to the club's supporters to urge them to calm down.

Newcastle went on to win 2-0.

"On behalf of everyone at Newcastle United FC, we wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the second half of the club's friendly against Darlington this evening," said a statement on the club's website.

"The club will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder from Darlington FC and the police and will be taking the strongest possible action against those individuals responsible for the shameful behaviour.

"This behaviour is not typical of the vast majority of our fans, however this incident gives a poor impression of Newcastle United and its loyal supporters."

Joey Barton was cast in the unfamiliar role of peacemaker last night as a massive pitch invasion marred Newcastle United's pre-season friendly at Darlington.
Barton, unable to travel with his team-mates to America next week because of his criminal record, was the voice of reason amid ugly scenes in which a steward was allegedly punched by a fan.
Ugly scenes: Fans confront Newcastle's Joey Barton during pitch invasion
There were claims that Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias, owner Mike Ashley's righthand man, was verbally attacked by a group of Geordie fans in a bar at the Darlington Arena before the game.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew had to appeal for calm as the friendly came close to being abandoned by referee Colin Webster.
Some 500 of the 6,000 visiting fans forced their way on to the pitch to celebrate a Newcastle goal by Sammy Ameobi in the 56th minute.
Barton, captain for the night, was surrounded by supporters but stayed cool and helped clear the pitch. There was a second invasion and a small scuffle, forcing Darlington manager Mark Cooper to remove his players.
'It only takes one idiot to produce a knife or a bottle and you have a problem,' said Cooper.

'The worst thing is I saw a lot of young kids about.'
Barton, who has entered the final year of his contract with no fresh offer because of his high wages, opened the scoring after two minutes but was substituted soon after the invasion.
Booed by home fans, he was given an ovation by the visiting contingent who earlier chanted 'Ashley sign him up'.
The FA are sure to investigate and Pardew said: 'I've been at the club six months and never seen an incident like this. I hope it was a one-off.'
Newcastle promised an investigation and a spokesman said: 'We wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters.'

More than 6,000 Newcastle fans made the short journey down the A1 and several hundred took advantage of low police numbers to run on to the pitch to celebrate their side's second goal.

That drew a reaction from a handful of Darlington fans and fights broke out on the pitch. Several stewards were also threatened while members of coaching staff on both benches were involved in heated arguments with home fans behind the dugouts.

Newcastle's managing director Derek Llambias stormed out of the directors' box as the game was delayed for several minutes. Llambias was also allegedly verbally attacked in the bar before the game by Newcastle supporters angry at the lack of spending during the transfer window.

The FA and police will investigate the trouble and Newcastle could face a fine.

Alan Pardew said: "It is very regretable. I am standing on the side and it looked jovial at first. It was a celebration that turned nasty.

Newcastle have condemned the "shameful" behaviour of supporters who invaded the pitch during the friendly at Darlington.

The Premier League club vowed to take "the strongest possible action" against fans who caused a 10-minute delay during the 2-0 win on Friday night. The trouble occurred after Sammy Ameobi scored the second goal in the 55th minute. The match looked in danger of being called off as fighting broke out on the pitch at the Darlington Arena.

A statement from the club's managing director, Derek Llambias, read: "On behalf of everyone at Newcastle United, we wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the second half of the club's friendly against Darlington.

"The club will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder from Darlington and the police and will be taking the strongest possible action against those individuals responsible for the shameful behaviour. This behaviour is not typical of the vast majority of our fans, however this incident gives a poor impression of Newcastle United and its loyal supporters."

Hatem Ben Arfa made his first appearance since breaking his leg at Manchester City last October in a strong line-up. Joey Barton, who will miss the club's tour of North America after being denied a visa, opened the scoring in the third minute when he knocked home a cross from Leon Best before Ameobi drilled home a fine shot 10 minutes into the second half.

Is aimed at those folk responsible for dragging the national game down, I am a football supporter, not a Toon hater, although I love the interclub banter, and take the piss from time to time, but also accept it, dont like fools ruining my game, also dont like chicken **** taggers, as you have seen, but I will debate football with anyone, but mindless pissed up antics, just adds fuel to SEPP BLATTERS flame.

I agree with you but sadly it's a part of the game in this country that all teams suffer with. Look at Birmingham and villa in the carling cup last season. It's always a minority who spoil it for the rest. Those on the pitch weren't football fans. Just clueless morons who don't really know the game of football, or who haven't followed Newcastle long enough to know how to go on. They probably expect that what they did was the done thing. It pisses me off as much as you but when idiots get drink in them and you stick them in a crowd, you'll always get caos, especially in a football stadium.

I agree, but a sad thing is, a friendly, is where you can take your child, grandchild whatever, for their first taste of football, in a crowd situation, so for those first time kids tonight, will they expect this to be the norm, or forever, never want, or go to a football match again.

Aye one of the lads on our board had his 5 year old there at his first match. Not a nice experience for either of them. From some of the pictures I've seen, the lads on the pitch look like typical low life charva scum bags. Type of people I wouldn't want to be associated with and would ignore if they were in a bar I was drinking in pre or post match.

Maybe they thought they were losing and were trying to get the game replayed.

With a bit of luck the morons who invaded the pitch will have been caught od CCTV. Those that can be identified should be named and shamed and slapped with a lifetime ban from attending all football matches. There is no place for mindless cretins like them.

The trouble with this is the sheer numbers involved. This was no small minority of idiots, as the number of Newcastle fans involved range from 500 to 2000 depending on the reports.
This tells me something which I think we all really know: that is that Newcastle have a huge hooligan problem which urgently needs addressing.

I can see what you are saying Bill but dont think it is Newcastle, their fans are even more pissed off than us about it, its that small minority of idiots who may think they support Newcastle but who, through their actions, do the exact opposite.

For me its not a stick to hit Newcastle with its a stick for footy fans to hit idiots with.

You say their fans are even more pissed off about it than us, yeah only the fans on here, maybe about a dozen or so, what's to say if they were there last night they wouldn't have joined in as well, it's a mob mentality.

The sad fact is this is still within our game at all. After 30 years trying to combat it, a Public Inquiry, Lord Justice Taylor's report, £billions invested in stadium improvements and new builds, a succession of Govts' determined to stamp it our and yet here we are, in the 21st century Britain and 500 + morons capture all the headlines at a 'friendly' football game at a non league club.

Blame is for later as is retribution and hopefully both will come swiftly to the perpetrators.

However, today is one for absolute and utter depression that this can still erupt within football in 2011 and blight the game we ALL love, both black & white and red & white.

Sorry mate that's bollocks. I wasn't there, but had I been, after however many beers, you still wouldn't get me on the pitch. That's why, out of say 6000 fans, the highest number reported is 2000, and my own personal bias aside, the number that got on the pitch didn't look like 2000 to me. It's like me saying to you that you went on the pitch when you beat us 2 - 1 because a few other halfwits did, but I imagine you didn't.

Dave - all b&w's are not the same. I have several mates I've grown up with for 30 odd years who are newcastle fans and they will be gutted at this today. They will condemn it out right but the fact remains, whatever the maths, this represents between a 10th and and 3rd of the crowd involved last night (500 to 2000 of a 6000 travelling body).

That has to be extremely worrying for your club doesn't it? If it were 30 or 40 idiots you can hope its isolated but this seems much larger in scale altogether. Partisan feeling aside you must be a little concerned at the numbers involved? I know if it were Sunderland I'd be horrified at those numbers.

I'm not having a go btw, just wondered if this has manifested itself at home games recently or other away games. Is this a one off or a growing trend?

As far as I'm concerned 1 out of 2000 is one too many. I cringe when I see stuff like that from any football attendees (can't call them fans), regardless of what colours they are wearing. I sincerely hope it's not a growing trend within the club, but I'm worried it might just be a growing trend within football in general. It seems these sort of things are happening more frequently up and down the country, but at the same time people are petitioning for terraces to be brought back!

Your mates are right to condemn it, and thankfully they are in the majority.

and whats to say they would have. I have no problem with our rivalry with Newcastle but to me its simply wrong to tar everyone with the same brush, I think the vast majority of Newcastle fans are even more pissed off than us.

Dave the worry is it IS a growing trend across the whole of football again. On the surface, all seems well but scratch that surface a little and there is a growing brand of young supporter (it has been noticeable to me, that recent trouble spots have been among the younger fans not just the older knackers that once spoilt the game) that seems to be involved again. EVERY club has them and we are not immune by any standards. I am 46 and grew up watching football in the late 70's and 80's with this disease blighting the game I love dearly. I have travelled with SAFC over the years and witnessed similar scenes and I sincerely do not wish to return to the dark ages.

Today is a day for both clubs fans to unite and see off this latest threat together.

High horse, pot kettle black, pathetic, get a grip, get over it.

What about the Darlo fans that ran from the other side of the stadium to fight with NUFC fans? Nothing said about them. The ones that went on the pitch did it as a joke, we had been singing about it, and the ones that went on were only on for about 40 seconds.

I will bring this back up if you score against us and run on the pitch again, whilst the stewards just put them back in the stands.
