Well they went and done it again, shot themselves in the foot, not content with smashing their own town up, which happens from time to time, but brought British football back into the limelight, for all the wrong reasons, so for any of you morons, who might read this, you should be shot with ****, no wonder we cant get a ****in world cup, its mindless maggots like you who hold us back, but then again, you dont care,,,,,,, you wear a black and white shirt, so you belong to the toon, well let me tell you KNOBHEADS, I know true supporters of Newcastle are shaking their heads, right now, and asking ` why us` because you have let England, AND THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND DOWN. but you dont care, you dont realy do football, do you? but being a face thing is all. I pity you when you play down south, cos you will get battered, but then again, you dont do football do you? so you wont be there. but loyal supporters will,,,,, and they may well have to pay for your bravado, you bunch of ****s.

Newcastle's opening pre-season friendly at Darlington was marred by two pitch

    invasions on Friday night.

Joey Barton put United ahead after two minutes before Sammy Ameobi doubled the lead, 10 minutes into the second half.

Newcastle fans then invaded the field at the Darlington Arena with Barton and team-mate Alan Smith urging them to return to the away end.

But when the match restarted, fans flooded back onto the pitch forcing another delay.

The pitch was again cleared, with Newcastle manager Alan Pardew and assistant manager John Carver walking over to the club's supporters to urge them to calm down.

Newcastle went on to win 2-0.

"On behalf of everyone at Newcastle United FC, we wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the second half of the club's friendly against Darlington this evening," said a statement on the club's website.

"The club will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder from Darlington FC and the police and will be taking the strongest possible action against those individuals responsible for the shameful behaviour.

"This behaviour is not typical of the vast majority of our fans, however this incident gives a poor impression of Newcastle United and its loyal supporters."

Joey Barton was cast in the unfamiliar role of peacemaker last night as a massive pitch invasion marred Newcastle United's pre-season friendly at Darlington.
Barton, unable to travel with his team-mates to America next week because of his criminal record, was the voice of reason amid ugly scenes in which a steward was allegedly punched by a fan.
Ugly scenes: Fans confront Newcastle's Joey Barton during pitch invasion
There were claims that Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias, owner Mike Ashley's righthand man, was verbally attacked by a group of Geordie fans in a bar at the Darlington Arena before the game.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew had to appeal for calm as the friendly came close to being abandoned by referee Colin Webster.
Some 500 of the 6,000 visiting fans forced their way on to the pitch to celebrate a Newcastle goal by Sammy Ameobi in the 56th minute.
Barton, captain for the night, was surrounded by supporters but stayed cool and helped clear the pitch. There was a second invasion and a small scuffle, forcing Darlington manager Mark Cooper to remove his players.
'It only takes one idiot to produce a knife or a bottle and you have a problem,' said Cooper.

'The worst thing is I saw a lot of young kids about.'
Barton, who has entered the final year of his contract with no fresh offer because of his high wages, opened the scoring after two minutes but was substituted soon after the invasion.
Booed by home fans, he was given an ovation by the visiting contingent who earlier chanted 'Ashley sign him up'.
The FA are sure to investigate and Pardew said: 'I've been at the club six months and never seen an incident like this. I hope it was a one-off.'
Newcastle promised an investigation and a spokesman said: 'We wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters.'

More than 6,000 Newcastle fans made the short journey down the A1 and several hundred took advantage of low police numbers to run on to the pitch to celebrate their side's second goal.

That drew a reaction from a handful of Darlington fans and fights broke out on the pitch. Several stewards were also threatened while members of coaching staff on both benches were involved in heated arguments with home fans behind the dugouts.

Newcastle's managing director Derek Llambias stormed out of the directors' box as the game was delayed for several minutes. Llambias was also allegedly verbally attacked in the bar before the game by Newcastle supporters angry at the lack of spending during the transfer window.

The FA and police will investigate the trouble and Newcastle could face a fine.

Alan Pardew said: "It is very regretable. I am standing on the side and it looked jovial at first. It was a celebration that turned nasty.

Newcastle have condemned the "shameful" behaviour of supporters who invaded the pitch during the friendly at Darlington.

The Premier League club vowed to take "the strongest possible action" against fans who caused a 10-minute delay during the 2-0 win on Friday night. The trouble occurred after Sammy Ameobi scored the second goal in the 55th minute. The match looked in danger of being called off as fighting broke out on the pitch at the Darlington Arena.

A statement from the club's managing director, Derek Llambias, read: "On behalf of everyone at Newcastle United, we wholly condemn the behaviour of a number of our supporters who invaded the pitch during the second half of the club's friendly against Darlington.

"The club will be seeking to obtain footage of the disorder from Darlington and the police and will be taking the strongest possible action against those individuals responsible for the shameful behaviour. This behaviour is not typical of the vast majority of our fans, however this incident gives a poor impression of Newcastle United and its loyal supporters."

Hatem Ben Arfa made his first appearance since breaking his leg at Manchester City last October in a strong line-up. Joey Barton, who will miss the club's tour of North America after being denied a visa, opened the scoring in the third minute when he knocked home a cross from Leon Best before Ameobi drilled home a fine shot 10 minutes into the second half.

There was no need to add the newspapers articles , we know what happened <doh>

Most of them are wrong anyways , claiming 2000 fans invaded the pitch , whilst it was more like 500.

Minorities ruin it for everyone and 480 of them immediately went back into their seat just a minute later , 20 others nearly got the game abandoned , alongside a few idiots Darlo fans.

Bill, incidentally your eyes have let you down. There's a dozen or so threads on this topic which are clearly visible and if you were to post your inane rant & collection of newspaper quotes onto one of them instead you wouldn't be getting such an adverse reaction.

I think its time to draw a line under it to be honest, a few idiots got arrested and deservedly so. Said idiots were roundly booed by the rest of the fans wanting them off the pitch! Joey Barton was in the middle of it and he has said himself the Daily Mail article is a load of rubbish.

Why inane, valid veiwpoint, and very much pro toon, on this point, and this point only. You say your bit I say mine, its called debate, and the newspapers are real. but will be heavier over here on the continent, because they will make it a bigger article, than the toned down UK version. And tomorrow we get asked the questions from our peers, which basically are `why do these people do this` give me an answer, because the only one I have got, brings their father into question.
