    They're all saying it was offside with the new rule... they need to read what it says again <doh>


    "When a player makes an obvious action which clearly impacts on his opponent’s ability to play the ball, then he will be penalised as offside.”"

    Pretty sure Coutinho didn't impact the opponents ability to play the ball as no one was near him.

    If he wasn't there, Keeper still wouldn't have come and claimed it as Benteke was 1 yard behind him.

    This is why the new rule will be pointless. I'd say he's affecting the keepers decision making..a linesman can decide he didn't move so dosn't flag.

    He clearly impacted the way the keeper played it, would the keeper have saved it? who knows but if it was against us you would say offside.
