His 1st season was really good. Last season was an absolute nightmare for him and Livermore. If he's staying I hope he returns to his best form, if he's going I couldn't give a toss
Midfield is an area we're already desperately short of cover for. Particularly with Snodgrass and Diame still out. We're going to need reinforcements regardless of whether Huddlestone stays or goes.
I think the train has already left the station with Gray. Brentford don't need to sell, they don't want to lose him and will only do so for 'silly' money, while whoever is negotiating for us still seems to think we'll get him at market value or less. At the start of the talks I think we could have got him for £6million + add ons, but with every goal he scores and every stupid bid we put in the price goes up. It wouldn't surprise me if we're now looking at £8million + add ons at least. The truth is our negotiators have ****ed this one up and it's time to move on, which is a shame because there's every chance that a Grey/ Akpom partnership could have got us the goals for promotion.
Brentford have spread so much **** about Gray and Odubajo, I don't believe anything coming out of that club unless it is an official statement...
That'd be a massive backwards step for him, he'd only come here for big money. Wba paid big money for him I think, he's like their version of Hernandez.
I think we'd be very lucky indeed to get a better player than Tom Huddlestone now we're in the championship. People seem to forget we're not in the premier league anymore.
Too true. People need to wake up and take notice that this is not the same as the Prem. A lot of people seem to have forgotten that (or have never supported us at this level like the plastics they are)
and Huddleston's performance , or lack of, last season is one of the reasons we are where we are. Not all his, but he is a part of it
I'm still amazed by the number of people who still spell Huddlestone wrong.... It's like those who call Ashbee 'Ashby'.
The thing is with him he doesn't do what it says on the tin, you expect the brilliant player but do you get it. I'm like Dan Kelly really, also I've seen nearly all my football in the lower leagues going back to 1980 so not really forgotten my roots but we are where we are now.
It's about the most underwhelming signing we've been linked with. Much rather have Gray. Another expensive foreign misfit.
Who are we going to replace Huddlestone with in the championship? Paul McKenna? Get Corry Evans back off Blackburn? Just because he had a bad season last time out doesn't mean he's **** and not up to task. Steven Quinn was a star in our midfield in our last championship season ffs.
He's by no means **** is he, but we may as well cash in. Like you say if the likes of Quinny can do the job then we can use the money for a decent new goalie and maybe a 'Quinny' type.
I thought that Kevin McDonald for Wolves looked a decent player. Plus he's in a contract dispute at the moment as Wolves have offered him a deal, but he didn't think it was enough so turned it down.
Hello Mr Gray. We are in your neck of the woods on Wednesday so would you mind awfully just popping over and sign this contract, theirs a good chap. It would help us out enormously and we would be eternally grateful old bean. Shall we say 3pm? Thanks in advance The tiger nation. ps. no need to bring a pen we have plenty
