Reading this I came up with a different reason why Fabregas doesn't help the CBs. Its because Chelsea are trying to use him as a classic CM who attacks and defends, but in reality he not that. He's more of a high CM that like to go forward and play clever passes to the striker, he's more in the mould of a Yaya than a Alonso.

If the Chavs had swapped Ramires and Fabregas around today (and moved Hazard wider) it would have got the best out of Fabergas, playing off the front man and made the CM position more solid. The time spent at Barca has changed Cesc and he was always a lazy defender.

 

Yeah Fabregas can't defend and doesn't track runners at all.

Would have been been better if they'd played Matic and Zouma in midfield 2 with fabregas off Costa.

 

And to think he got rid of Mata. The irony is that Mata puts in more of a shift at United tracking back and forth than Cesc at Chelsea.

 

Think Oscar is more a direct comparison and his defensive stats were far greater than Matas though.

 

Not really sure what Mourinho wants from Oscar, he seems a waste of a good player to me at Chelsea. He would be much better off looking for a new club.

Dont really frequent any boards match threads so i deffo wont be creating any. As for the chelsea board it is pretty empty nowadays. There is the occasional thread but the activity isnt too high.

As for fabregas in cm, it just doesnt work. Ive commented a few times how hes so weak defensively (see big gay als criticsm of him when silva does him in the first minute ) that him next to matic is a recipe for disaster in the big games. Either you play him with no duties like barca and even at le arse or only play him against the small teams.

I would much prefer willian there who i think could be our coutinho lite (passing not as good or vision). Guys got bags of energy and is pretty pacey and can run with it. William is wasted on the wing.

Its a shame we sold mata who was one of my faves and replaced him with a like for like. Sad thing is matas set pieces were great which is what we seem to be relying on nowadays

 

Wants him to be a tireless runner. Whenever i watch oscar play I'm not impressed. For me hes a squad player. Hes one of these good players with bags of potential. Personally I'm not a big fan. Dont get me wrong hes not terrible but for me hes our adam lallana (most people and chelsea fans disagree with me)

 

I think wenger ruined him by pushing him further and further forward.

I think peronsally cheslea put mikel on the bench was telling. In every big game last year he was stuck in and oscar dropped...

Willian is a runner yeah but his job is to run up and down on the right end of... Cheslea need to play that young fella they were on about at CM with fabrgas pushed on....

But the reality is costa looks really poor and it hurts cheslea really really badly.

As of today.. which no more real targets out there... where do you think cheslea will be come christmas Bobby? 3rd? 4th?

 

I dont know. This team worries me and we have a very small squad alongside the fact mourinho doesnt like to trust members ouside around 14 players. Added to that the in fighting and that i think ivan is past it (was advocating this from last year). Im hopeful mourinho will solve it and we might go on a bit of a run by steam rollering the easy opponents. I dont think that will begin this weekend though. Brom have been our bogey team for a while so hopefully we can scrape a win. I reckon 2nd or 3rd at christmas. City to be leading

 

Oscar and Willian are very good players IMO - both have a lot of ability on the ball but also work hard for the team.

Would happily take either of them at LFC.

 

Yeah they are cos they know what mourinho wants.

It seems to be the camp is a bit in chaos right now.

BTW i agree on ivanovic he is getting like carragher playing rb.. his move to CB is long over due.


the best right back you have is playing left full.

I would say best RB in league but i'm not so sure now.... Bellarin i really like and darmain is quality... plus we got clyne who's half decent

Thats the think. He hasnt started zouma yet which i worrying considering hes potentially our best defender and rahman no one has ever heard of and we havent even bought yet!.
