I'll really feel sorry if we sell Best on as he did as good as he could be expected to when
given the chance last season and it sounds like he was doing a good job this evening
- why sell him? Ranger maybe but no to Best. Keep him in the squad AP!!

Do I deny it being our fault? I don't know if it was, I don't really care either. You don't get fights with only one set of supporters wanting it. Fact is (as far as I can gather) both sets of fans ran on the pitch. Both sets of fans had a few fights = both sets of fans in the wrong. My point isn't about what happened. It's that I don't care what the press report it as. Also I highly doubt your melodramatic view of things. It wasn't a ****ing warzone

 

Darlo fans didn't behave the same at Gateshead did they not and less Gateshead fans fought back than tonight.

We had a few hundred run on, darlo fans reacted but not more than 50 as far as I could see. The only blame darlo fans can get is for dragging it on for longer.

 

If Mike Ashley sells our most proven/currently BEST striker, then I'll be extremely pissed! Ba might be a good striker, but until he plays he will be second to Best. If we were to sell Best, Ba were to pick up an injury and we fail to land another striker... we're stuck with Shola and Loven... AGAIN!

 

But the point is, you cannot have a fight with only one person/group being in the wrong. We should take most of the blame, but regardless of anyone being provoked you shouldn't retaliate

 

The actual fighting was a small part. The game was stopped in regards to the invasion lasting too long, we started the invasion.

 

I thought Best looked sharp from the start, he was certainly buzzing. Was a bit unlucky his early efforts didn't come to anything.

Of course the game is going to be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

 

That reminds me, was good to see that Ben Arfa and Best appear to get along very well.

 

Agreed. Despite it being a preseason game I thought for the first hour or so with the strong team on we looked pretty sharp, particularly Best, Ben Arfa and especially Cabaye who always wanted the ball. Looking at that team and obviously adding in Tiote, Jonas and El Capitan I'm feeling pretty positive about this season with or without any additional signings.
