Costa scored 20 goals in 26 appearances last season. Hardly a failure.[/QUOTE]

I know but most of those were before January.

I'm joking about him failing, but still, he doesnt impress on the pitch for chelsea. Still too early to tell ofcourse but I cant see him becoming anything special for you. Dont think the injuries have helped either.

Not if he does nothing for the rest of his contract but how do you know that. Psychic are you. You're calling him a failure based on something that hasn't even happened. More drivel.

Glad to see Jose responded by sitting JT - though too little too late.
This might probably spur Stones to join us and end of Cahill + JT.

This result could be a blessing in disguise.
Honestly, us taking a 1-1 or 1-0 result would have papered over the cracks.
It was great to see Jose diverge from his non sense vanity project of 'playing JT every minute'!

Signing a left back gives some level of balance.
Sitting JT in the biggest match of our season gives me hope, that Cahill + JT might start less than 23% of our matches. Thus giving us great opportunity in all 4 fronts.

Still we are the favorites and not City!!

Nah, Jose has told Roman you were the better side in the second half and the result was fake, nothing needs to change

Good post Stan. Watching the game was not easy and precisely the problems we have outlined stuck out like dogs balls.
It's easy to point the finger at the back 4, so lets start there. Ivan is right out of form, one stinker followed by a poor one. Cahill took a terrible blow, so I'm not going to pound him any more. JT was no worse than any of the other defenders, and Dave was OK. We have Zouma and we have signed Baba apparently, so surely we have the chance to swap around a bit.
The real problem for me is Fabregas, he just isn't strong enough to boss and run the midfield. Matic had to do so much more work, the back 4 were exposed to the speed and craft of Aguero who was just too quick and clever. This was because Yaya ran riot through the middle and their attack came from the back, the midfield and the front.
We have no attack from the back, though Zouma can attack, and we have little through midfield so Costa looks increasingly Ineffective, Willian just has nothing but effort, and Hazard is a lone threat.
If Yaya was on our side, our front runners would be twice as dangerous. Id spend every penny we have , including the reported 30 mill for Stones, on the midfielder to change our whole attack. Oh for a young Michael Essien, a fit Ballack, or a Pogba. Rambo, Oscar and Mikel just take up space on the bench.
We did show for quite a period in the second half that we could hold City, and pressure them, but that is not enough to win this PL. We are making the fatal mistake of all sporting teams, not refreshing on a constant basis. Standing still is as good as going backwards , and that's whats happening and why Jose is so volatile
