Been trawling the net all day trying to find anything about what went on at the team meeting this morning and zilch! nothing at all :emoticon-0101-sadsm

So I reckon the first thing that happened was Dick walked in and said "you were ****" eleven times.

Any takers on what happened next?

    I'm guessing he said "you're ****" 11 times and didn't walk.

What bothers me is that if he's not sane enough to realise he can't fix the problem, then he must be insane.

And if he's insane do we really want him as a manager.... <confused><confused>

That's a good point, questioning Dicks sanity.

What I do find extraordinary is that here we have Ellis Short, chairman and custodian of our club and very successful businessman, who I would imagine does not tolerate incompetence and failure in his businesses, but will allow such behaviour to go on at our club!

Surely to God, he must be realising by now, that to allow the situation to deteriorate any further is going to be detrimental to his credibility and standing in the business world and beyond?

Other forums saying PVA was ripped apart by Dick. He was ****e but most of them were.

That's a bit harsh if PVA was singled out, because as you say, nearly all of them were ****e.

If I was Dick, I would be swapping the under performers with their under 21's equivalent for the next match to make them buck their ideas up and if the under 21's perform well, keep them in the starting lineup.

Fact is, he's seen this for the last 4-5 years now. For him, this may be his idea of what "normal" is in the footballing world. He has nothing as a benchmark to judge against. He's also out of his comfort zone in this context.

I'm also guessing we're pretty low down in his priorities as a going concern. We're just a sports club to an American. Many super-rich businessmen like to have one as a status symbol.

I hate being this cynical about the club. I guess it's all just wearing a bit thin at the minute.

If there was no money, dick would have walked by now.

Twitter ATM says we are flat broke.

I don't know who is telling you these things but they hardly seem like some sort of oracle.

Time for Texas Tom to go.
He's obviously trying to balance the books so he can flog the club.

I'm pretty sure that DA will have laid down his terms when Short & Congerton were chasing him to come back. Among those terms would have been transfer kitty and I honestly don't believe that they would be stupid enough to con and experienced man like DA with false promises. My guess is that the players he wants either don't want to come, or we just can't afford them, whether that's down to fees or wages, or other clubs offering more, i dunno and we probably never will.

I had hoped that DA's reputation throughout the footballing world would have been good enough to pull in some top players, apparently not, or that's the way it looks.

I'm still hopeful of a at least a couple of decent signings before the window closes, saying that, i was hoping the lottery would come up on Friday but i'm still at work :(
