I've never understood that when the player doesn't trust his left foot and always has to cut back to use his right foot.
I was just surprised to see him there at all, I even commented on it at the time Must be instructions
You use the word tantrum, it's inappropriate: It was frustration during a game that expends a lot of energy, energy that you resent wasting on useless exercise - I would imagine he felt all the same Déjà vu I felt, after all he was all too often on the end of Aluko's phantom passes. Of course it might be better on the training ground, but a match is the real thing. I thought, having read your older posts, where you said that you played, that you would understand that, so I am at a loss to understand your lack of understanding - the bullshit flag is on it's way up pole. I didn't need your permission; is your wife away, or are you affected by the phase of the moon?
For **** sake, he was involved in the move, he was on the pitch, he could see a wasted opportunity, he vented his spleen, get over it, they will. ****ing Diva behaviour? What a bloody stupid and short-sighted comment that is. Okay, so everyone bottles their emotions, passion is taken out of the game and inter-player reaction is carried out through counsellors - we'll rename the team Stepford United - ****ing incredible. Of course they will discuss it later, but it doesn't mean it can't and won't happen in the game - when that stops happening it won't be worth watching.
This was not a 'cross' situation, this was a basic pass, short distance and open with no hindrance - stick to the point and stop trying to be cleverer than you are.
I wasn't giving you permission. I thought it would be better if you argued against what I said rather argued against what I didn't say in a weird attempt to want to win an argument that is totally of your own making.
So the commentator knew what Elmo was thinking, did he? I don't think so and I think it was a gratuitous comment on a player who was obviously out of sorts - the interesting thing to know is what was the real reason and not the commentators musings. Did he mean that Jelavic was trying, or trying too hard? You've taken two comments (fair enough) and they will grow arms and legs when posted on here.
You dont seem to understand the simplest things. I didnt say that Akpom was wanting to cross or could have crossed. If he had passed to Jelavic then the most sensible thing to do would be for Jelavic to cross. You seem to be having a night where you want to argue but can't find anybody to argue with or you realise what you said was nonsense and wanted to distance yourself from what you said and now you are attributing a view to people who dont have that view and then arguing with them.
If you disagree with these views feel free to let me know
That's permission. I see where you're going and it's boring. I've stuck with your much repeated point and answered your comments - get over yourself and go back to Beige.
That's permission. I see where you're going and it's boring. I've stuck with your much repeated point and answered your comments - get over yourself and go back to Beige.
It's a gentle push in a sensible direction. Instead you want to make stupid statements.
It's you who doesn't understand, or doesn't want to. I never said anything about Akpom crossing, I never said you did either, I said it was wrong to compare what he did to the crosses you said were wasted by other players. It's a simple thing that I can understand but you seem to have problems with. Do you think that as well as Jelavic (hypothetically) crossing as an option, he might have made a run into the box and split the defence, or cracked off a shot with a better chance of success - I thought it was the better option, the commentators thought it was and I think, that with hindsight, the whole team will too. I think it is amusing that you accuse me of arguing - pot, kettle. I stand by what I said, I haven't distanced myself at all, but you seem to be trying to divert the discussion from what we were arguing to what you now want to argue. You seem to be having a night when you've made Pratt of yourself, again.
Jela has been an utter bellend on several occasions already this season. Yes, strikers want the ball, but he's taken it too far. Bruce (or the coaching staff, or even Daws) needs to have a quiet word with him. And if that doesn't work he needs a dry slap.
Like almost handing them a goal in the first minute with a totally stupid back pass?? Why Bruce didnt start Aluko on the left wing instead of an inexperienced player who was clearly suffering from big occasion nerves is baffling. Clucas tries hard but he has no pace as he showed time and again today. As for technical skills and all round ability there is a huge gap between him and his predecessor Brady. I'm hard put to think of a worse player on the field today....even Hayden had his moments. Why did we waste over 2 mill. on Clucas when we are desperately need a competent GK and the very promising Southend goalie is available for that amount. Unbelievable!!
I thought both sides missed chances. it was a decent game that could have gone either way. Akpom should have passed to Jelavic and those stood around me also thought he should have...I dont blame jelavic for getting mad i was cursing myself as were plenty of others. A few fans moaned like **** as soon as myler came on and moaned almost everytime he got the ball , he seems to be the anti christ to some. Yet he did ok.
This worries me slightly seeing him sat there. Obviously this kind of thing happens all over the country with managers scouting but I hope he was looking at a Wolves player.
