Norwich - Alex O'Neill, 35 Bournemouth - Eddie Howe - 38 Swansea - Gary Monk, 36 Three young managers, three young teams. They used to say that you know when you're getting old when policemen look too young to do the job. But there's a new generation of young football managers coming through. Not only that but they're successful. The players respect them and want to play for them. And the managers "get" the players. They're not that much older than their squad and can relate to them. Dick is only here for 1 season, maybe less, if things don't change to his liking. Should we be looking to youth? Not only in the squad but in the dugout? Have our old guard no respect for an old warrior like Dick? Is he too old and out of touch with the modern game? There seem to be problems at all levels within the club. But do we need to change our working model of the first team?
I don't think so. I do think however, like the MON situation, he isn't the same without his right hand man. I would like us to take a punt on one of the Neville brothers next. I think them two have had a really good schooling and come across really well when talking on the TV. One is 38 and one is 40.
I don't rate Monk at all, I think he's inherited a decent team who work under a philosophy and he's basically sitting behind the wheel on auto pilot. He's got the respect of his players but for how long? Are they happy to sit 8-10th every season? Every team eventually wants more. He couldn't take over Sunderland and do the same, not in a million years. It's early doors yet for all three, none of them will be due a big job off what they've achieved so far with their respective clubs.
You certainly know your football.....not..... Monk has transformed the swans massively, He inherited a team from Laudrup who were where you always are and were 2 points of relegation.......look at us now we are flying and one of the best entertaining sides in the premiership who done the double over Man utd and Arsenal and that is all down the the brightest young manager who is being tipped manage England in the future.......We are so lucky to have him as boss.....
You should check who your talking to before opening your mouth, one of these days you might not look like a tit Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh look another one who feels the need to defend his club from any naysayers . He supports Man U btw.
What have Sunderland achieved apart from fighting a relegation battle every season...? You dont belong in the premiership and this season will see you lose the fight and go to a league where you belong and more comfortable ....
Keep on dreaming about the good old days that most fans cant remember.... Even a lot of your own fans dont give sunderland any chance this season.. The bookies dont rate sunderland and they are not often wrong.....
****ing Welsh man, you would think they'd be grateful that we allow them to enter our country for some competitive football as there's ****ing no talent in Wales and this is the thanks we get At least the Scottish can manage on their own.
You don't belong in the Premiership you ****ing nugget your team are from a completely different country! Next time I'm down the Liberty I'll be sure to check all them great trophies you got for doing those doubles. You proved my point by the way, Monk has the respect of your players and they play for him, put him in any other team and he'd flop like a Welsh sluts tits.
How big of a club are Swansea? 34th, just behind Cardiff, Hull and QPR http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-finally-settles-football-s-great-debate.html
