Pretty hard when you were hammered before it and 1-0 down and lost worse after half time when you should have regrouped and reorganised

Because he had injury problems in the second half of the season. Who cares when people score goals? He was still the 3rd highest goalscorer in England, and he'd be a lot closer to Aguero & Kane if they didn't take a greater # of penalties during the season. And the season before that he managed to compete with Messi & Ronaldo for La Liga top scorer & also finished as 3rd highest scorer in the Champions League despite being in a side that wasn't really fancied to go far before the season started.

I also don't think you are remembering Drogba properly because you forget all those seasons he wasn't performing where he spent most of the time on the floor after a nasty gust of wind, or a stray leaf from a nearby tree, managed to knock him off balance. He also had a lot of questionable seasons where his goal return was very poor for a striker as impressive as you describe.

Costa is a brilliant striker and if anyone on here claims they wouldn't want a striker of his calibre playing for their club then they are liars. He's better than anyone in the PL bar Aguero and he will once again be up there in the goalscoring charts if he manages to avoid injuries (big if considering his history).

Luckily they just need to head down to city's club shop on the way home.

Well..... nah.... Watford are already above them. That's funny enough.

Same for Newcastle who are pish.

I reckon Utd being 5 point clear is hilarious and all.

We're talking about the premier league mate. Otherwise we'd all be waxing lyrical about Falcao at Atletico. Look it isnt all about stats, they dont tell the whole story. Costa puts in workmanlike performances. He'll never create something out of nothing or single-handedly create goals. You just cant get that from stats. What he did for 4/5 months a year ago doesnt tell the whole story.

And I remember Drogba very well. When he wasnt up for it, he would go down and generally sulk. But the difference was, unlike Costa, it wasnt bcos of a lack of ability. Drogba had pace, strength, a much better first touch, but more importantly was able to take on defences from out of nothing and take chance after chance to score. At his best in the prem he was consistently relentless. He led from the front and was a winner.

I dont know about Costa being second only to Aguero, but if he is it's only bcos there isnt many quality strikerz around in the prem. It's probably the weakest it's been in a long time for the range of quality strikers around the clubs. I dont believe Costa is world class and I definitely wouldnt want him at United, and what's there to lie about in saying that? Dont get that at all.
