He'll be looking toward his midfield leader, in this case Hudd, as his example. He virtually copied Huddleston, who, for most of the day, looked for the easy pass, sideways or backwards. It's a bit harsh to have a pop at Hayden when you have examples like Huddleston alongside him!

I think now Dawson will cover a RB and Davies will cover a LB. They need somebody in front of them.
It was a lot different when Chester, Dawson and McShane were together.

Hayden even tried to copy your spelling of Huddlestone by ending his name in an "n".

For the majority of the time HuddlestonE looks desperately in need of a ****ing 'E' to be fair.

The mistake by McGregor can have big implications.
People like Dawson may have been planning to stay because we had a reasonable chance of getting promoted. If they think they may be stuck in the Championship for two years they might jump at a chance to get in the Premier League.

Should be encouraging him to care, as he clearly demonstrated.

Huddlestone didn't give the ball away in dangerous positions. Huddlestone knew when to offload the ball, and had a far better eye for a forward pass. Hayden is young and can learn, but Huddlestone was far better than him.

I don't get the Meyler criticism. You must have formed an opinion before today's game and refuse to go against that opinion even if the evidence is against you. I thought Meyler was an excellent substitution, he linked the play and he got forward well.

I wonder which player(s) Norwich manager Alex Neil was watching today?

I don't believe that's true in the slightest.

None of our players are arrogant or stupid enough to think we'll cruise through this league and be promoted with ease. Mistakes can and will happen, they are professionals and will have all made mistakes in their careers so will understand what McGregor is going through. Despite the mistake we got a point, away at one of the favoured teams which is encouraging for everyone involved.

Huddlestone should be much better than him, given his age and experience, unfortunately, as is so often the case, today he was ineffective.

I'm not knocking Meyler's engine or enthusiasm, simply his quality and inconsistency.

Jellys reaction to Chuba not getting the pass in in the first half was bang out of order, it wasn't a mild berating he was slamming the ground and all sorts to go with the verbals, completely uncalled for

I agree we looked much more balanced and a potent threat when he came on.

    It was indeed very poor.

Shortly afterwards Chuba had the chance to pass to him and completely ignored him, even the commentators picked up on it.

We can't have a diva sulking around and unfairly berating is team mates, especially if it is going to effect their on field decision making.

I wouldn't pass him to either, I don't know what Jelavic was thinking but he obviously has a high opinion of himself to the detriment of the team. Clucas looked a bit nervy too after missing an early chance and I wonder if Jelavic was on at him too, at least Akpom could handle it having trained with far bigger egos than Jelavic at Arsenal

Mistakes by goalkeepers are usually more important in terms of points. Last season McGregor was dropped because his mistakes were costing us points. Harper was brought in to stop the loss of points. Now Harper has been released.

Makes you wonder if, like Patty, they have ever been to a football match, or indeed know what football is.

When was this incident with Jelavic moaning about not getting the pass? Was it the one where Akpom went round their defender out wide and tried to chip over the keeper as he dived down?

Ye i keep reading this. I saw him beating the ground in the incident you mention.
Too ****ing right he should have done too.
Jelavic must be the most under used CF in the league. Crosses are hardly ever to him. It must drive him ****ing mad.

I think that's the one, he did hold on to the ball and make a bad decision but Jelavic's reaction was completely over the top. Somebody made a point on another thread that Bruce has told Jelavic to behave like that but I find it hard to believe, young players don't need some Croatian Hitler acting up on the pitch when they make a mistake

Does he need to beat the ground, I mean really? You could see Akpoms face on the telly, it wasn't a positive reaction
