Drawing away to Wolves is a good result. One point won, not two points lost in my book. As long as we win most of our home games, we will be fine.
He runs around a lot and is passionate but I still don't think he'll score as many as we need. All that work rate didn't keep us up last season either did it?
Clucas was a decent League 1 player, it is a big step up to the Championship. He will have less time on the ball and will need to be stronger. I don't think he is in his best position yet.
There was brilliant bit of skill and determination when he kept the ball in, but ahead of that he'd been absolutely ****e, as he was in the previous two games.
Considering how we played, any ****er complaining about two points lost needs to keep schtum. We should have been smashed in that game. The point is brilliant, regardless whether it came from a major ****up or not.
It's the old argument everyone has on here though all the time. Strikers can't score if they don't get the service. Akpom is good at stretching defences and creating gaps for players to run into. Shame he never sees the gaps. I understand I'm in the minority here and I only watched it on TV but I feel like I've seen something different to you lot. Either that or you have rose tinted specs on because he's scored a couple and is a bit exciting on the eye?
Jelavic huffs and puffs but never looks dangerous. When the ball reaches him it's a toss up which one of his windmill legs it's going to ricochet off before he loses possession. Akpam is direct and scares the **** out of defenders. He also has an end product.
Oh come on Quill.. it's definitely two points dropped if you look at facts rather than shoulda coulda. Yes they had many chances to score but the facts remain that we were winning for a long spell and literally gifted them the point.
Yes, just watched this game 'live' in it's entirety and whereas nobody can judge a player on one performance there are two or three things that can be said. McGreggor is an accident prone catastrophe waiting to happen and he did it again today. Back to the bench for mine and it's not just his 'faux pas' today but general distribution of the ball following on from last season. This bloke Hayden, on today's performance (and, as I said before, nobody can judge on just one performance) played like sh it and I do hope the bloke improves but it would have to be out of sight to retain a regular place in our starting eleven. We have nothing down the right whatsoever. J-Martin is way, way out of his depth at this level and I don't need any more games to change my mind. Akpom went to the same "School for Greedy-@rsed Forwards" as Aluko but showed enough to be a potential threat in the future. Jelly put in his usual shift and took his penalty very professionally and showed his class. Needs the ball laid on though for him to score. I feel that Aluko would be better employed down the wing instead of f@rt-@rsing around in the middle but Steve Bruce and his selection panel know better than me. Dawson and Davies showed their reliability. Robertson still finding his way whilst Elmo was well held today and did next to nothing. Not a great performance for mine but we should have come away with the three points although they wouldn't have been deserved as Wolves played the better football.
Jelavic put in the effort today because he knew the Sky cameras were there. He was still mostly ineffective though.
A draw was a fair result, regardless of goalkeeping error. Given the chances Wolves had we were very lucky not to be behind at any point. Wolves dominated the first half and should have been clear by half time, the start of the second half was pretty even but we dominated that last 20 minutes and had the game gone on for another 10 minutes we probably would have won. Some encouraging performances from some and some pretty shocking performances from others. Lets not forget this team has 5 or 6 new players trying to gel with a group of premier league players finding their feet in the championship, it will take time. Encouraging point away at one of the teams to beat this season.
