To be honest it was refreshing to see from mitrovic because he showed some fight and passion at least. Obviously opposing fans will hate it but we're going to need it.

I think losing 2-0 with ten men is no disgrace to be fair and we were just coming into it when janmaat saw red.

I expect us to improve its a tough start for us really fixture wise.

All the best for the season swans looked really impressive again.

 

Mitrovic needs to control his temper but at least he showed some desire to win the ball and I'm guessing Newcastle fans wanted to see more of that from their other players. I can see him scoring goals this season but getting himself sent off in equal measure.

I think we were the better side from start to finish but I agree that until the sending off the game could have gone either way and after that we never got out of third gear. Toon fans couldn't have complained if it was four nil.

In your opinion, but not mine. When we are one nil up I never think we're safe. Do you? We lost more points from winning positions than any other team in the Prem last season.

Newcastle were coming back into it at the point of the sending off though I agree we were the better team first and second half.

Fair point. Perhaps I should have said that when we're one nil up I always think the other team are going come back into it - and for good reason.

 

Think that teams are not really safe until they are 3 goals up, just look at the Stoke v spurs game today, spurs were 2-0 up and left Stoke come back into it.

Actually we were coming into it at that point i renember thinking hmmmmm we just nearly scored twice then bang game over. Its all irrelevant because you won and thats that. Enjoy.
