You're about as original as Lenny Henry. And no doubt oblivious to the fact that Liverpool played long ball against Stoke. Guess which player Mignolet made the most successful passes to in the game?!
Haven't seen either game so can only say that six points is fine by me. Bit disturbed by Rooney's apparent lack of form and fitness, especially as we've not secured Pedro so I now assume we won't. Could and should have been done weeks ago, as soon as it was obvious he was avavailable I said we snap him up, no ****ing brainer. Six weeks later and still nothing. Apparently we didn't need him, we'll if Rooney gets injured, which he does when he's fat, we'll then see if we need him. Who gets the blame for pissing about on this one? Van Gaal I assume. He's also making a right pigs ear of the keeper situation. Get it sorted.
I thought LVG is hard headed, so why is he afraid to drop Rooney? The lad has been very poor since pre season. I know he's a good player, but I don't think he can lead man united to glory with just him upfront. He will probably score 15 goals a season but we need someone better than that, someone more lethal that can score out of nothing, Rooney is clearly not that. United should have one of the top 5 best strikers in Europe in their team. As it stands, I can count 15 strikers in Europe that are more lethal than Rooney. I know some people will say he scored 27 in 2010 when he played upfront, but they forget this is 2015. Falcao also scored lots of goals in atletico Madrid, and van Persie was a beast between 2011 and 2013. This is 2015, Rooney needs to sit up or be benched, but does van gaal have the balls to drop his captain? On another note, could it just be van gaal's style of play that is making all out strikers look bad? Rooney, rvp, falcao. I remember the same thing happened with Chelsea.
Rooney is a top drawer striker when fit, definitely europe top ten. No idea who these other fifteen players are. But, he has to be fit and firing. It's looking even more ridiculous now to have let van Persie go. Bit of a joke to be perfectly honest. What the **** is going on with the keepers though? Why is Valdes still at the club? What is the point in having a world class keeper in the reserves who can then just leave for free? Who benefits from that? ****ing no one, sell him and terminate Valdes' contract and get on with it.
The problem is Chief (and it's not all Rooney's fault) that our Wayne wasnt very prolific last season bcos he wasnt playing CF a lot. Couple that with the fact he hasnt scored an away goal in 16 months and basically we have a 30 yr old CF who is becoming a bit of an unknown quantity over the course of a year and more. Partly the reason why I want another TOP CF is bcos Rooney needs it as much as anyone. When RVP came in, it was competition for him and also a bit of personal pride to show his own class. And he rose to the challenge. At the moment he's just turning up and going through the motions. I'd go as far as to say imo he looks disillusioned by our style of football.
Maybe so. Like I said though, makes selling rvp and not buying Pedro staggering really. We go into this season without both then we won't win a bean.
There is no way any United fan would take notice of a Chelsea fan calling other teams football boring
I've said the same. There are very few quality strikers out there as well which is even more of a problem. Shouldnt have sold RVP without having someone lined up. Imagine if Pedro wasnt asking for a move. We'd have NOBODY else planned to come in as a CF. Exactly the same with Ramos. Nobody else planned to come in as CB. There is no chance we're challenging without another quality CF.
Given Rooney started playing so young, he's possible got quite an old body for his age and he may deteriorate fairly quickly. He could well go and get 25 goals this season but it's a theory.
We are very functional at the moment but a long long way from the park the bus style favoured by the chavs. Of all premiership champions, the chavs must have the honour of playing the most boring sleep inducing football ever. There is not even a debate about this anymore
Chelsea won ther title with 1 quality striker. Madrid have literally 1 striker (ronaldo helps), Barcelona have no proper striker (in the way we are talking), City now have nobody should Aguero get injured. All the clubs there will do fine, and no, they dont all have better squads or managers. What they do have is the fact they are settled and each has a player who is capable of stepping up. The Spanish clubs are obvious but Hazard and Silva (was dzeko) do it for the English clubs. We need a goalscorer. A centre forward would have to be very involved as the style of play doesnt allow for an old fashioned number 9 who expects everything layed on a plate. What we dont need is a striker like Rooney who gets confused with his actual position so drops so deep that we have nobody up front, but some who can come deep on occassion but is always available in his actual position. Not that I wouldnt say no to Lewandowski though. And wasnt Otamendi back up to Ramos? With Stones also reportedly on our radar.
De Gea isnt 100% focussed so has been dropped. If Rooney is 'disillousioned' with our style, he wouldnt be playing. Hes simply unfit and out of form. Its a common thing with Rooney. He will be back in form by mid September before having his annual goal drought after Christmas.
I tell a lie... I have to highlight the bit about Barcelona having no proper striker... please log in to view this image I wish we had no proper strikers like them. The rest is equally ridiculous but I will just leave your post there, festering, for others to marvel at its insanity.
Chelsea had Costa who is a better striker than Rooney at the moment, not forgetting hazard who was very instrumental. Madrid have Ronaldo and Ronaldo alone is a 30+ goal a season player. Not forgetting bale, benzema, Rodriguez and a midfield of modric and kroos. Sure they have a better team than us. Barcelona have an even better team, Messi is 30+ goal a season player and Suarez is 3 times the striker Rooney is at the moment. And not forgetting neymar. I'm not saying Rooney should score 30 goals, but let's look at the overall play. And who do we have to compliment Rooney? He is flanked by young and Mata. Young would struggle to score 5 goals and 5 assists all season, while mata is more intelligent but can't play under pressure. Memphis is unproven in the big stage. Let's be honest, our attack is not the best, we need another world class striker but might no happen as it would mean dropping Rooney, captain of England and united.
