If you think United are playing long ball then you're even more clueless than I thought. It may be dull but it's far from long ball!

 

We have not been as exciting as people are used to us being, but to compare us to Chelsea is just plain wrong

 

Not scrappy at all, just slow and a bit dull at the moment.

 

Yeah got used to calling him that. Wait til mophead is back for him to go to long ball. So when you guys (maybe not you personally) call chelsea boring boring you want to emulate is by boring us to victory?

 

Correction. Slow and boring for the past season and a bit. I can only remember a couple of exciting games both when you smashed the scousers

 

Nothing wrong with being slow and boring. I admittedly prefer a fast and attacking game but if it gets you the win i will love with it. Just dont pretend you are anything else though united fans. Van gaal is the definition of robotic and efficient. I would say hes worse than jose actually

 

I don't think Souness was too far off the mark with his description of "efficient", the only thing to excite us at the moment is the result which hasn't looked in doubt so far.

 

And City and Spurs?

Misplaced balls and such... just not quite on it but solid and hard to beat just like I predicted before the off.

I expected a bit more from the front 3 if I'm honest. Mata doing OK. The others not so much

But again... 6 points and plenty of time to get going.

Hopefully lfc will join you on 6 points too.

 

I hope that is just rust and nothing more.
The front 3 are certainly capable of much more, Rooney is well off his best and Memphis is new to both team and league. I would hope this will sort itself soon.

So we've established Utd have a great looking kit but a scrappy looking team... who are probably right in there at the sharp end now unless teams start drawing games with them.

I didn't expect that villa back line to hold out and so it was. Utd in control and take their annual 3 points from the villa

 

So... Southampton v everton looms large.

Everton need a huge performance.

That's certainly my game of the day.

Super Sunday looks very tasty tomorrow then and a monday night game to round things off.. nice.

 

Lets just say the rest of the weekends fixtures have to be better than the dross of last night.

Two TV moved games and two really dull games, one of which was supposed to be a big bang of an opener to the season. Man U really doing their bit not to advertise the Prem, they should be banned from TV until they play interesting football.

Tottenham v Stoke
Watford v West Brom
West Ham v Leicester

theres actually 2 tasty ties in there the others are.... well.... predictable standard and results.

I think stoke could rought up tottenham on thier patch and west ham leicester might see fireworks.
