    Games gone as expected. Villa huffed for a while but are now shattered. Weve just played the patient game today. Its dull and slow but looking at villa now, kind of.

    What I meant is the captain influenced our lethargic poor performance bcos he himself looked disinterested. If he had actually led by example maybe the rest of the team would have had more hunger. I agree though, he was the worst player on the pitch.

    Ah right. Rooney does look as if hes still in pre season tbh and it does appear to be sapping the drive out of the team. As captain and the focal point of the team if his performance is well below par, the team has no cuttng edge. We just look blunt.
