Broadcasters that rely on advertising for their revenue always have to consider the impact on their revenues of any programme that criticises the private sector. The same is not true for publicly funded broadcasters and whilst politicians may criticise a public broadcaster that is all they will do for fear of losing votes.

I'm not one to gloat......... but find it hilarious that the Labour Party is trying its hardest to make it unelectable for a generation.
Please vote for Jeremy, he seems a nice chap in the Michael Foot sort of way.

Rather more to occupy us than worry about what they are up to.

The left leaning Beeb needs to have a word with its reporters. When the story about Labour peer Lord Sewell was being told on the news tonight the reader could hardly conceal her glee!

I think most of us thought it was rather funny, regardless of our political leaning. Too many freewheeling arrogant buggers in parliament.

I worry for the BBC's news output and for the other channels too. News is the one serious thing they have and does not need full profile shots of reporters in studios, it doesn't need reports to wave their hands about, it doesn't need reporters to move their heads about to emphasise stuff so much lip readers cannot follow and it doesn't need the reporters to talke to each other in a jocular manner while introducing or finalizing the report. And what I find the worst thing of all turning their heads so the cheek is presented, I find that a bit disingenuous and think they are not quite telling the truth. It shouldn't be presented like an add on to a lifestyle magazine.

I don't know what is going on with this peer who has been caught doing something (s)he shouldn't, but if the reporter was reporting in a gleeful manner that needs stamping on.

In fairness it was a voiceover but some of the comments were certainly of the "ha ha ha" type. Obviously they were delivered in a relativvely subtle way but the subtext was clear as day.

A photo can tell you a lot sometimes. This is Jeremy Corbyn on the night bus going home last night after another day of meetings and hustings. He has the lowestexpenses of any parliamentarian. He has the best policies for the people of this country - and he may well be the next leader of the Labour Party.Photo Stuart Low.

Totally agree he has the best policies for the country and hopefully will be elected the next leader of the Labour Party. He will ensure the Labour Party will be securely kept away from power for the foreseeable future, thankfully.

I love this conspiracy theory that activists from other parties have registered with the Labour Party and will vote for Corbyn - that's tight up there with Alien Lizards.
I do hope he gets elected as Labour leader, not for the same reasons as superhorns, but because we need a proper opposition i.e. they have opposing views and policies. Not the champagne socialists that have led the Labour Party for the past couple of decades. Let them spell out their State Socialist policies and let the voters decide.

Yes, totally agree. It would also be good to have someone who says what they genuinely believe and not what they think people may want to hear.

Corbyn may be a decent guy who holds his principles but the country has moved on from the excessive state control and industrial strife the UK suffered in earlier decades. Fortunately the vast majority of the population do not want a return to this.

Exactly superhorns, I would much rather a Corbyn leading the Labour Party than a Evette Cooper

The scary thing is that it's still easier to understand this than the offside rule...
