10 games, see where you are. Judge on the league, not a cup game with weakened players. No need to panic, the performance was good against Burnley and we played with 10 men for pretty much the whole donny game.
So what is your benchmark for being acceptable? A league position or a certain number of points. If we are in the bottom three at the end of September (I expect we will be) would your still want to wait another couple of games before deciding we are not improving, or would you reconsider the 10 game statement? 4% of our season has already gone.
Afternoon all. Chippy, why such a negative attitude after only2 games? FFS we're creating chances, playing okay, and will only get better.
You have been saying we will get better for how long now? Until we do, we haven't. Come and tell me I am wrong when I am......
Boggers - you have no pace, no bite in midfield (should have kept Austin) no wingers, a dodgy back line, and no goalscorer - you must be easily pleased
Don't have a specific benchmark in mind. Would like to be top 10 but I know things change very quickly in this league. Most important thing for me is to see we are playing well and creating chances, if we're doing that we will improve and get up the table. If we are creating 3 or 4 chances a game like we have been for the last 3 years or so thats when I'll worry. As long as we are not around the relegation spots I won't worry just yet.
