The ticket office called to tell me...no point pursuing this, you know what I think of your type of "fan". Shame you're not a Chav. Another few years and you would have been.
City need another striker just as bad as us. Apart from Aguero the rest of there strikers are awful lol.
Your nothing more than a parady of a scouser Steve. One of those 'back in the day' kind of bellends who fights any kind of change. Like a scouser you nhave absolutely no concept of just how much of a moron you look with you 'attempts' at sarcasm and such. I can only hope its an act, for your sake. Had you been on the list Steve, its likely you would have been contacted by phone around March. Of course being a 'back in the day' kind of guy you wouldnt dare associate with a modern day football club, prefering to hark back to the days mass brawls with a few minutes of football inbetween it. Instead you catch the game on Sky and then proceed to moan about people watching games on Sky...... Quit living in the past Steve. Its not healthy
Being rubbish and costing a fortune gives City a problem. They still cant shift half their trash from their last well planned shopping spree. They paid 25million for Bony 7 months ago. They are stuck nwith him for a while.
Swing and a miss, Steve. Not quite the man you once were in your old age eh? What are you doing tonight Steve? Watching Sky Sports and grumbling about 'Sky Sports' by any chance?
I'm looking forward to the game. Will you be draped in your Di Maria duvet cover (cue incorrect Ashley Young comment)? UIR number one United fan! Reads all United fanzines! Big United Member!
I dont recall congratulating him on buying Fellaini for far more than his release fee nor crying about how we weren't just chucking £50 notes at any player.
Yeh that doesnt answer the question. We havent signed Pedro have we. I asked if you were saying the same when we werent signing players we were being heavily linked with like Herrera and Fabregas? Or did you take a different tone to your post above (the one I've quoted)?
1. As am I, however, unlike some, I don't expect us to lose every game or even hope we lose so I can have a good old moan about it. I actually think we're a pretty decent side. Shocking that a fan would have such a warped view I know. I'm just no coffin dodger I guess. 2. Don't know about you but I won't be in bed come 8pm tonight. (My comments regarding Young are correct. my memory, unlike your, goes back a little longer than yesterday. I don't need to rewrite history to support a poxy argument. ) 3. Filafax. Can't forget that can we.
I recall saying we didn't need all these big names in Moyes early days. After all we were reigning champions. Pretty sure that's what started Smiths insistence that we needed to spend £300million to compete. Anyway, Moyes had far bigger issues than signing players. The fact that we actually signed anyone under him should count as a positive for him. It was about the only plus point in his time here. I will say no more though. Criticising Moyes is a big no no for those United fans of a certain age. Him being the chosen one and all that
I only ask bcos when we were fcking up the Herrera signing I dont remember you saying things like... "...it's not football manager. Multi million pound deals take time. Once the deal is agreed the rest of the transfer will take a matter of hours." OR "Any negotiator who goes in and pays the asking price right away doesn't remain in that position for two long." And it's ironic that you mentioned the Fellaini signing as it TOTALLY contradicts what you've said above. We ended up paying 4m more than we could have a month earlier
Moyes was a disaster. In every department. From banning chips to his two week holiday when he should have been at work preparing. Wasn't the Herrera thing a tax issue? Moyes didn't want Thaigo as he hadn't seen him play and Fabregas ****ed us about, hence why we didn't go back in for him at the reduced price? According to reports at least.
I'm simply using those examples to show that it's not a case of ppl seeing it as Football Manager. It's happened in the past. Woodward was in charge then and he is now. I'm not slating him, just saying that I think your comment about ppl seeing this as some sort of playstation game is way off the mark. There is history of us fcking up those big transfers where we've dithered instead of just got the deal done.
Where the hell is David Gill ? Can't we get him back - he wouldn't shift many shirts but he'd be worth his weight in gold in the transfer market
