With Studge and Coutinho, I felt there were better options available at the time. Happy to be proceed wrong. I knew Mario wouldn't work out, didn't need time to tell me otherwise.
I'd sell Mario in a heartbeat at first mediocre bid for him. That said, had Studge not been injured and Mario got to partner him, I wonder if he might have been better. He looked ok alongside Studge. Meaningless now since Studge may never return 100% and we have other strikers.
Suarez there was no choice (plus he's not cleaned out from the old guard) sterling again we all wanted rid. Gerrard, time was right to move on. I cant think of one player that is top class that Rodgers has moved on through choice. The only ones he's moved on are the old big rangers from previous management who haven't won anything in the years before he joined.
Rodgers wanted to keep kuyt but kenny didn't play him in his last season and Rodgers was powerless to stop him when he and in after the clause in his contract that allowed him to move. i wouldn't class Lucas or Agger as top quality though, Agger went to Denmark and hardly a queue for Lucas. Reina possibly, but he made his own bed by whoring himself out to barca.
There's been too many moved on because of Rodgers poor handling, Reina, Agger, Gerrard, Carragher [didn't want to retire from a permanent bench position]possibly Suarez and Sterling who don't want to play with the 'class' of player Rodgers aims at. He's currently freezing out Balotelli, Enrique, Borini, Lucas, Sakho .. the list goes on and on of players who he has problems with. I can't ever remember so many disgruntled players leaving with Rodgers inability to get on with them, the cause.
It's like that with many managers though, their ego is often bigger than the players. Difference is, they either get results (mourinho) or are sacked. Rafa was the same with his weird freezing out of players (insua? Riera?? etc)
Rafa had been there and done that though so he had success and experience to back up his decisions and actions, Rodgers hasn't and doesn't. Plus Rafa was and is Liverpool through and through. He understands the club, the city , the fans, the heritage etc. I don't see that with Rodgers at all.
There was an improvement against spurs but he was only good compared to the regular Balotelli. Still want good enough and no where near long enough for a single game either
Imo it doesn't matter one ****ing jot if sturridge was fit or not. He would have done ****e all as he clown around and when he felt he wasn't fit he told the club he wasn't bothered to turn up.... That's the real reason Rodgers dumped him. He's a lazy arsed egotistical who is disruptive and it was never ever working out. Worst purchase ever imo.

Apparently Sunderland are interested in loaning Borini again for a season Will we ever fully get rid of this fecker?! Is he going to spend his whole career being loaned out by us, is that his big plan?!
Borini is a leech. He refused to move to Sunderland on a permanent and now he'll go on loan. ****ing tosser.
Illarramendi been told he can go apparently.... Would like us to sign him especially if we move Lucas on.
Enrique, Borini and Balotelli are probably going to cling on for dear life, it'll be end of contracts for all three unfortunately. Luckily Enrique's runs out at the end of the season, so that's one that wont be here next season.
Enrique we should try to help out as he has contributed to the club, yeh we need him gone but at least he played a part. The other two we should be looking to make life extremely difficult for, Balotelli I've read wants to stay to get his loyalty bonus, Borini is like some kind of Italian limpet except he sticks to money not rocks, they're both lazy cnuts looking for an easy pay-day
If you were on 60k per week what would you do? Seriously.... they are just playing out their contracts with zero expectation of anything more coming their way. They have been lazy or greedy or both... borini is the archetypal thinks he's better than he is, Enrique is just lazy as sin and balotelli Is the ego of the ages. None have any expectation of wages any near what they are on so are sacrificing their future careers to milk this down
