He also signed Dawson, Huddlestone, Long, Jelavic, Gedo, Boyd, Elmohamady, Aluko, Robertson.....easy to pick out the ones that didn't work out....
Surprised you still think it's 7m, since most places have been consistent in saying it's 9m for a while now. 7m + 2m in add ons..
So it's £7m then, we don't have to worry about the £2m until we get promoted, at which point we won't give a ****.
Pointless discussion, as it can't be proved either way, but I'll gladly bet you £50 that if we sign him, we'll only pay another £2m if we're promoted.
I just wonder is Gray coming in dependant on Hernandez going out. Can we really support two £7-£10M strikers (and their wages) in the Championship?
The fact that we did already make a couple of biggish bids suggest it isn't, though there's a chance it's restricting how high we go with those bids.
I think we though Hernandez would be gone and I am pretty sure we need to shift another striker before we commit to another contract. I can't see it being about the small change now. I think we have lost out on the Italian clubs choking on the 9 million euros fee.when we started bidding he looked a goner and I reckon it's more significant that some think.
Take 5 million sterling to get half the money back, open the door and give him the biggest kick up the arse as he walks through it then slam it shut..... job done.
