He looked like that for us tbh - you turn a blind eye when he's scoring for fun (like he did that season) Trouble is, he has had 142 Championship games now and scored 37 goals - a goal every 3.8 games so with that average if he stays injury free he would be a 12 goal a season man. That 1 season though (the only time he has scored 20) in a season inflates that figure though. The 1 good season (2012/13) = 20 goals in 39 Championship appearances = a goal every 1.95 games Rest of his Championship campaigns = 17 goals in 103 appearances = a goal every 6 games = 7/8 goals a season. If you can get him playing like he did in the 2012/13 season then fair enough, but either side of that, the other 5 season have been piss poor
I totally disagree we got rid of a lot of dead wood and the signings once they are Match Fit will be a revelation but thanks for the tip re parking offence
What isn't forgivable is playing Wooton and Doukara...both are liabilities in different ways. I hope Rosler see's this and rectifies the situtation..
I think its forgiveable. We have a small squad and he wants to see who is capable of filling in and where, it may have been the wrong decision (well it definitely was on hindsight) but its whether he learns from what the football on pitch is telling him.
Looks like Wootton the DM might be a feature this season ... http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....ecision-to-play-wootton-in-midfield-1-7410808
Where did you read this Billy we have Dallas now so we don't need him OK I have found it now £2.5m that's a lot of dough a lot more than we have!
Oh no its not according to my information he coat £1.5m plus add ons which could eventually raise to £2.5 and there were other clubs after him .No TC I'm not worried about him he will come good and as you know I have a very good track record on players.De Ghea when he first played for MU was knocked but he has come good Wood has the best years ahead of him what we need to show is something that is not in our DNA patience
It was £2.5M plus add-ons - Same as what Wolves had agreed except Leeds offered more than the £18K per week wages that Wolves offered
With eleven men on the pitch we would've won last night, but we would also have won if we had an experienced head on the pitch to calm the young lads down after the red card - we were dreadful after Cook's sending off. We weren't all that much better before though, to be honest. Doncaster were terrible and they still comprehensively outplayed us (admittedly with ten men). Not fussed about losing on penalties, but the performance was dire. Only positive was Murphy getting an hour thanks to the extra time.
and the moral of that whole post........... ........You ain't fussy enough when choosing who you drink with.
Not really. In Nugents last 5 seasons where he has played in The Championship he has scored 77 goals and made 40 assists - that's a guaranteed 15 goals a season, Wood in the same time has scored 36 (20 of these were in his one and only good season) goals and made 10 assists. There must be a reason that a 23 year old has already been at 12 clubs and has not been prolific at any of them
