    I think we'll be too strong, 3-1.

However, 3 decisions on team selection that I'm unsure about.

RB - Does Mick give Emmanuel the chance to make the shirt his, or Chambo back at RB with Tommy in? I hope for the former.....

CM alongside Skuse - I hope Bru's back, but if not, I assume Bishop isn't fit still, who would start alongside Skuse? Got to think it would be Douglas' chance to make the shirt his?

CF - McGoldrick was apparently a different class Tuesday, so his movement/fitness must be coming back which is only good! Going to assume Sears+Murphy will get another start, with McGoldrick breathing down their necks. I honestly thought Pitman may have come on before McGoldrick @ Brentfrord so not sure where that keeps him short-term!

Heading down for my first game in a couple of years! Very excited to see the new look team, especially Fraser who everyone seems to be raving about at the minute.

As for the team, have to assume Mick will stick Chambers back to RB and put Berra alongside Smith. Never been a fan of Chambers at RB but at least Berra should give us more stability at the back. Would much rather a more comfortable attacking full back but perhaps with more attacking wingers Chambers' attacking prowess won't be as obvious.

Need to have Bru or another creative mid alongside Skusey at home. Much rather Douglas than Tabb... Not had much of a pre season though has he?

Would also love to see McGold get a start (think he will go with Murph and Sears) but we will look dangerous whoever Mick decides to pick up top out of the 4 options. Assuming Mick will stick with 442 for this one which will leave us with a lot of attacking options on the bench. Nice to have!

Pretty much guaranteed that this game will have goals with our shaky defense and strong attack, I think we will sneak a 2-1 victory.

Also, this is my first post on here after stalking the site for many years! Used to post on the old 606 back in the day and lost interest after it closed down but always kept an eye on posts on here and TWTD. Finally decided to try and step back into it... Looking forward to it!

Welcome to the board LucasAdam10, good post.

With regards to the Sheffield Wednesday game, I think it will be a difficult match as they've racked up two consecutive victories and, most importantly, they look a fresher, different side to last season. If we're realistic about promotion hopes though, we'll need to win home games like this.

I'll stick my neck out and say 3-2 to us in an entertaining game. Hopefully Emmanuel gets another shot at right-back and a central defence pairing of Berra and Chambers. If Bishop and Bru aren't fit, then Douglas and Skuse would make an effective but very industrious central midfield pairing. It's preferable to Skuse and Tabb in the centre though.

If Douglas plays that would free up Skuse more so!

Different players - Douglas more your box to box driving all action player, Coke from what I've read anyway more a Skuse / passer but could be wrong..... Not sure for that reason that combination would be great? Douglas scored 8 last season for Brentford including a few headers arriving late so I can imagine at some point he's going to be a regular fixture.

Could Tabb weirdly get the nodd alongside Skuse for this one? I wouldn't be against that either as the two wingers/ Skuse are nailed on.

Against Stevenage Coke and Douglas seemed to be in similar roles and IMO Coke performed better.....Tabb was not very good at all bar a couple of moments second half.

I was having a whinge before kick-off that Emmanuelle had lost his place (despite the fact I’d only seen highlights of the first game and subsequently pronounced him the real deal) and Chambers had been shifted out to the right. “I’d had dropped Smith” was my conclusion.

I should practice what I preach and trust Mick!

Ryan Fraser is the new Johnny Williams!
    Great goal from Freddie.
Steady performances elsewhere with the exception of Chambers, who I'm afraid just isn't full back material ( even after two seasons!)
Glad to see we are making more of an attempt to get the ball down and play it out to the wings=corners=goals!!
