Same aa Suarez? Agreement that you can leave if offer comes in only if you sign this new contract which gives you more money but ensures we aren't held to ransom.

Sorry Bisc, I have searched and all I have found is what I already knew/had seen. Van gaal stated that the coaching staff made the decision on Wednesday and informed de Gea on Thursday that he would not be selected.

In a new twist, Van Gaal revealed during an odd exchange on Thursday that De Gea had told his goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek he did not want to be involved against Spurs.

The Dutchman gave his normal press conference at Carrington and then stunned the room by wandering over and sitting next to a journalist who had earlier questioned him.
Van Gaal then offered to divulge information about De Gea and being dropped for the first game of the Premier League.
Insisting his comments should be regarded as on the record, Van Gaal said: "We've talked with him (De Gea), he was fully agreed with our decision.

"I have one assistant coach (Albert Stuivenberg) and another assistant coach (Marcel Bout) so we speak about that kind of thing. We have a goalkeeping coach, Frans Hoek, I'm not doing everything alone.

"Frans Hoek, he has a meeting with David de Gea and he asks him, 'Do you want to play?'."
When the reporter asked about the 'keeper's reply, Van Gaal said it was: "No."

“Frans has had a meeting with David and he asks him if he wants to play. The answer is no. David was not eager to play because of the situation and because he was not 100 per cent htmlssed due to all the rumours surrounding him.

“Then we have to take a decision. It is a process. We had been observing him and he was not so good – he was not the same David De Gea as before. He was my best player last season.”

Right in part, they were both told they could not leave that season because they were needed. De Gea has been told he can only leave for the right money, losing £20+m at the end of the season does not fit in the same bracket as losing one of the worlds best players for less than a record fee.

Ahh, so sources from then, no direct quotes or videos from a packed reporters conference where the manager usually walks off the stage at the side, not walking down into the audience and giving individual interviews for all to hear.

Sounds legit and I will expect to see it covered by all in attendance

What on earth was van Gaal at.

He didn't do it in main presser... he wanders over to one hack and sits down and spills the beans.

I would say subtlety is not a strength of his but he may have forgot his meds.

    So Friday night football.

    Villa v Utd.

    Thoughts?

    1. Utd to win by 3 or 4?

    2. Villa to get an awful shock cos they are now not the same side at all after benteke has gone.

    3. De gea to sit out again. . Romero to be hailed as worldie

    4. Sweinsteiger to play 35 mins?

United always win at Villa, but not sure I'll be rushing to back them to do so again tonight.

I can see a hard fought draw.

Part of the pressers are embargoed for the written press to release as exclusive. Guess its to keep them relevant.
