    Awful sloppy business by Madrid if I'm wrong, would have made sense to get him in early (if they really wanted him and he wanted to go) and make him No1 instead of buying Cassila and making Navas No1 :emoticon-0100-smile

    They're just playing hard. It's typical Madrid, declare your interest but don't really make many bids, unsettle the player until he wants to move then give the selling club 2 options, accept a low fee or keep an unhappy player for a year and lose him for 0.

    As discussed previously, Madrid know they can sign the player on a pre-contractual agreement in January anyway getting him for free.
