There's plenty of other photos with fans and apparently he told them all that he was off to Villarreal, which isn't a surprise. Lamela also tweeted his goodbyes to Soldado, but quickly deleted it. Presumably he got a swift kick up the arse from somebody. Edit: Not quick enough, Erik. please log in to view this image
In what looks like the completion of a fairly obvious circle, it seems that N'Jie's also flying. Some French guy bumped into him at the airport and asked him if he was going to Spurs. The player laughed and asked him not to say anything, so in the grand tradition of being an arsehole on the internet, he stuck it on Twitter:
Haven't been here for a week and not had any internet for about four days. Check transfer news to find...Soldado is on his way to Spain to sign for Villareal! Funny - last I heard over one week ago he was already in Spain and finalizing a move to Villareal and that's why he couldn't take part in that ridiculous tournament in Germany or be considered for the season opener. Ah! Football news! I've (not) missed you!
I suspect that if Soldado recovers his form then that will mean some will claim he was never given a chance with us? I hope he does move and recover as a goalscorer, he is great pro, have to admire his attitude. Nice guy, talented footballer, but just never suited to our league.
We have been here before, lost count of the "new striker" transfer windows, which used to send Roo into depression!
Dear God, that music was giving me a headache. Some good goals though. Don't think many defenders over here would leave his left side so exposed though.
Looks a decent player. Quick feet, good 6 yard box poacher, and can knock them in from all over. #14 was well taken and was one of those goals that'd be lauded on social media if Messi or Ronaldo had scored it.
Don't ask me why, I've had no bit of info or anything which I've sometimes got in the past but I have a feeling we'll end up with either Berahino or Austin by the end of the window. I have a feeling N'jie would've been signed regardless of Ade/ Soldado going so seeing as Soldado looks set to be a Villarreal player soon, I think maybe a deadline day move for one of the two above is going to happen. Just pray it's Berahino.
I was all set to be annoyed at Levy et al for allowing Yann M'Vila slip through our fingers and join Sunderland on a season-long loan, considering he was one of the most sought-after players in Europe a couple of seasons ago (with Wenger and AVB looking to bring him to North London), and we seem to be in the market for a defensive midfielder given we're linked to Bender/Kramer/Vogt at the moment...but then I did a little digging, and I can see why we decided to pass, as he's got a track record for being a complete arse. Not sure where else to file it, but we've entered a partnership with Roda JC: http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/caanen-slaat-brug-tussen-roda-jc-en-tottenham-hotspur.htm
That video of Yarmolenko reminds me of Van der Vaart, deadly left foot, cool from the spot, nice skills etc.
Yarmolenko is the YouTube/Football manager, most wanted transfer target, much like Christian Wilhelmsson used to the target fans wanted , until he signed for Bolton.

This interview from Pochettino suggests we're only bringing in one striker http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/mauricio-p...oberto-soldado-emmanuel-adebayor-exit-1515376 But with Soldado and Adebayor's expected departuresleaving Harry Kane as the only first-team striker in his ranks, Pochettino has admitted he will also need to sign a new forward before the end of the transfer window. "I think one more, and we have different players that can play like a striker and we have different offensive players that can play in different options. But I think we don't need to bring in too many players," the manager told Tottenham and Wood Green Journal. "It is true [we are looking for another striker] but we are working to take the right profile, the right player. We don't take a rash decision, we wait for the good opportunity to bring [someone] in.
To me it suggested an out and out striker, and a player who can play out wide such as N'Jie or Yarmolenko. Whether he intends that N'jie is going to be played as a striker and we're also bringing in someone like Yarmolenko to primarily play out wide but fill a utility role too, or if we're after Berahino/Austin and N'jie as the wide/utility man, time will tell.
