On Villa's bid for Charles N'Zogbia, it is reported that Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has said that Villa's offer is just under the asking price. He is also reported to have said that Wigan will not accept a penny less than their valuation.

How's he a mercenary? its his agents job to get him the best deal possible. I've never seen Nzogbia come out and say I won't move to a club unless they pay me 65k a week. I don't understand the animosity toward the man.
i agree parker 100% let's wait til the deal's done b4 we judge him, as for the agent he probably wants the best deal more than the player
I think what he did for wigan in the second half of last season showed the mark of the man. he could have sulked at a failed move in January but he got his head down, stuck in scored goals, kept wigan up and won the fans back. I've said it before, he's a class act.
I agree he is a class act and would love him to sign for us. Just wish it was all done one way or the other. He has dominated these boards for what seems like years
if we don't sign him he still done us a favour, his goals 4 wigan kept them up and sent brum down, hence we got gardner 4 the price we did, no way would we have got gardner for 5/6m so on that note, thanx charles!
If my source is to be believed, we are the only club who have offered the asking price, but we will not pay his wage demands - I still reckon there is a strong chance he will sign for us. Lol Bart
Agree bart and I reckon the company Skoda Octavia car with heated seats will sway it our way in the end. God, I'm as excited as one of those big huge excited things..
Unfortunately I recon Bent and N'zog will link up very well.....would fancy them both for my dream team this season. Sad but true.
