Hope you're right that it's just a fitness thing but, after Saturday and last night, he's starting to irritate me. He seemed to make an initial effort in the first half yesterday but backed off more quickly than I'd expect from someone who used to bounce around for fun. You just knew he wouldn't last 90 minutes. Still, a great night, a ground tick, good atmosphere and banter amongst the crowd and a bit of drama. II'd say poor defending exposed our goalkeeper's inadequacies but don't feel he had made a real solo howler. Some positives e.g. Akpom (again). Thank you Arsen (through gritted teeth).

I know LBIA has the opinion that Jela doesn't want to be here, he's mebbe right? I wasn't at the Huddersfield game so can't comment on it, I honestly thought last night he just ran out of steam, I base that on the effort he put in first half i.e. if he wants away he'd put ****all effort it, I dunno .............. only time will tell.

If anything he's publicly sitting on the fence. Allam wants to replace City with Tigers, other people don't want it to happen. HCT is neither one side nor the other in the debate.

Good luck to @HullCity in round 2. Thanks to all for coming. Pay us another visit soon.

Oh i shall - a proper football ground.

Really enjoyed last night. VFM game which ended with the right result. 90mins + 30mins ET and penalties,, proper cup football. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Accrington did what you would expect them to do and we just tried to do enough. However looking at results elsewhere it could well have been another shock. The main factor is that we are now in round 2. The draw is thursday night after the sky Live game between Doncaster - Leeds.

Result of the night. BRENTFORD 0(no Gray) OXFORD UTD 4 :1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

    It was a great trip
Nice pub on edge of ground, TERRACES!, burger and chips van for away fans, £3 a beer, ability to stand outside with a pint and a cig and a burger (or hot dog, or curry sauce and chips etc etc) Good City crowd, good banter too

Only downer was the highways planner who thought it would be a good idea to shut roads and have us all driving round in a big circle to get back to the motorway after the match!

Hang on. This suggests Sir Ben thinks he's too good to eat from a chippy van.

    Say it ain't so Ben.

Maybe he's read The Van by Roddy Doyle. Grim reading in places.

(The film doesn't do the book justice.)

I've tucked into many a burger & hotdog from a burger van in my time. Unfortunately last night, it was never gonna happen despite the Salmonella Burger with extra head sweat looking ok.

Firstly from our vantage point at the top of the terrace, just to the left of the goal in front & bang in the middle of the burgar bar behind it was clear to see that they were carrying out unhygienic re-heating practices. Serving bangers & burgers that had been cooked in the first half, kept hot for half time, reheated for full time, reheated again for half time of extra time & again for the end of the game. People were eating burgers & bangers that had been on the warming plate for over an hour. Not good practice & way off my scale of acceptable eating material in a sober state. Bear in mind, if I'd downed a few pre-match beers & a couple of bottles at the break I'd have probably eaten more than my fair share & not given a ****.

Secondly it's a SCB tradition to have a proper chippy supper on the trip home.

Lady CB has me well trained in kitchen hygiene to the extent that I find it easy to recognise poor practice. I wish I'd been as thorough when training her in the importance of man stuff in man sheds.

Did the Bobbitt precede the Dunphy?
