The XK150S won Le Mans something like 4 times. I was knackered after driving it for about 2.4 minutes, let alone 24 Hours. Those chaps must have been REAL men!
Tbf, if you're used to driving a car with light power steering, jumping into an older car without power steering and fairly worn tyres can be a tiring experience too.
I was driving a mate's Alfasud recently ( I'm a massive fan of Alfas and had several when I first started driving) and couldn't believe how heavy the steering felt after being spoilt by power steering for the last 20 years. I soon got the hang of it again, but certainly felt it the following morning when my usually unused shoulder muscles complained.

Absolutely. Thing weighed a heck of a lot too - not a small car, and parking was an experience with that bonnet. He had a choice of hiring the XK150 or a Dino. I'm still upset by his choice (though you can understand why for wedding purposes).
Perhaps not, but the fact that 13 people thought it was important enough to take up parliamentary time makes me despair. Reason I posted it was because it was mentioned in an article in the Independent. Considering how cushy MPs get it (especially those in safe seats) and how empty the Commons is half the time, I'd say they're productive about 10% of the time
You might want to consider that what goes on in the commons chamber (or Parliament itself) is a small chunk of an MP's activities. Also why is someone in a safe seat likely to be less productive? Some, possibly many of them are in safe seats because they are productive. Not all safe seats are gifts. Vin
I used to think this was true, but my last MP, Tessa Munt, who sadly lost her seat in May, worked tirelessly for her constituents both inside and outside the Commons, as well as holding down a junior Government post until she resigned it to campaign against fracking on the Mendips. As Vin says, this is probably typical of the vast majority of MP's.
To Be honest I am still not sure what it was only that it was a left hand drive American ...................the type the gangsters used to use in Movies in those days. A very pointed nose on it and I swear the bonnet was longer than the passenger compartment. I did it as a favour for one of my Dad's mates
