Rodgers is bit of a shocker http://metro.co.uk/2015/08/11/from-...ague-managers-looked-like-as-players-5336987/
Just read this. Pochettino looks like he'll fight anyone but what's really shocking are the Dutch contingent; bunch of ugly ****s
What struck me was that the overwhelming majority of them were either centre backs or defensive midfielders. Why is it that attacking players don't become managers? It's a sweeping generalisation of course but if you think of the best managers around I think it's true.
Aye that's right, Ferguson wasn't bad either and he was a forward I believe but certainly from the list of Prem managers they're nearly all CB or CM, so I'm assuming it's a pattern you'd find everywhere.
Our previous managers have been decent player. Or better than decent. Keane Bruce MoN Di Canio Poyet. All bloody good players.
More in keeping with current times, where will the next generation of managers come from? Top players from twenty or so years ago were on peanuts compared to now. Today's top performers will leave as multi millionaires so would be above the hassle of dealing with everything things or even be arsed to consider they could fail. Somewhere in the lesser strata of football now will be coaches just to keep a wage coming in until they retire.
Mark Hughes wasn't,t a bad striker at all And not doing bad as manager either At the other end let,s not forget that great manager the skunks had, Alan Shearer ha ha
I just found this on another site and was going to put together a little off topic friday quiz - then balesballsed it up for me Class though - Brenda Rodgers man!!!!
