That, I would agree with. We have too many midfield players who want to play in the middle and not enough natural wide players. It ends up with Wenger playing Ozil and Ramsey out wide and they just naturally drift into the centre making us far too narrow. This was evident against West Ham, especially with Debuchy at RB, who whilst solid at the back, offers little going forward in the way that Bellerin does.
I can agree with this, although I actually thought Ramsey was bang average for most of last season. Maybe that's because my expectations of him changed after his exceptional form in the 2013-14 season, where he looked like a complete midfielder, but wasn't impressed with him last season. Injuries are obviously a factor and I'm not going to deny it, but it's part and parcel of the game. Other teams have to cope with them too. We do seem to get them more frequently than other clubs though, which would imply that the problem is more than just bad luck.
Sorry I meant (and should have indicated as much so people could follow my thought process!) that losing Ramsey in 2013-14 significantly affected us. I agree, injuries with us is definitely more than bad luck - you don't have this amount for this amount of time - it's about 8 years running that we've been close to the top of the injury league (and that's ignoring Diaby!)
