Don't know anything about the 2 players mentioned but I suspect the fact that Doumbia has returned to CSKA on a season long loan indicates if a loan was going to happen, it would only ever be to this club. Guesswork again though.
Is it too much to ask the club to come out and say; "We know we need X amount of players and we are working on getting appropriate players in" No names required, just proof that they are trying. x
Advocaat has praised the chairman for his efforts and said he is working hard, he has also identified we need two new first team players.

Quality players are on the move and we seem to be doing nothing and don't seem at the races at all which is what frustrates me. Stoke have just signed Shaqiri for Pete's sake. West Brom just forked out £12m on Rondon Leicester bid 12m for Austin and are due to go back in with a higher ioffer when Nugent is sold. We are reportedly sniffing around Jordan Rhodes....... EvenBristol City are showing more ambition aagreeing a £6m deal for Dwight Gayle who I'd have all day long over Rhodes and at half the price.

Getting players in is like watching a duck float. Nowt happening on the surface but paddling like hell below the surface.
As it stands we're getting left behind in the transfer market. That could be for any number of reasons. Congerton is just one of several possible problems. People seem to want him to fail.
