Why do you continue to talk so much bollox. How long have you been watching United? We beat Fulham 5-1 a few years ago on the first day of the season. We hadnt won the league for 3 years prior to that. West Ham are playing Arsenal ffs. They've created far more going forward against a better side, than anything we did yesterday. Their passing and link up play, the way they've opened up Arsenal's defence time and time again. I feel I have to come up with veciferous responses bcos you make such inflammatory bollox. Dont talk about educating anyone UIR. You have your opinions fair enough, but dont go patronising others with bollox statements like that.
Problem with United is we pass to much and to slow we're be a lot better in the CL. Our style suits Europe more.
A few years ago eh? It was a little more than that and it was very much the exception to the rule. We are notoriously slow starters. Under Fergie were didn't get going until around mid October. We still got the results but we were turgid and ****e to watch. This is because unlike you, Sir Alex understood the whole point to football. 3 points. It's not a exhibition, it's a billion pound industry driven by results on and off the pitch. I also don't give a flying **** about west ham. If you are so impressed them why not become a hammer? On second thought that may not work out so well when they revert to form, and grind out results over trying to out play sides, you would only start whinging about it. patronising . That's rich. You claim to be a purist yet you don't get the fundamental basics of the game.
It's day one and we are bedding half s new team in. The performances will come but hopefully we continue to get the results in the meantime. Pointless playing well and losing points. Just as pointless as playing bad and dropping points.
When you resort to wumming your own, on this and other boards it shows what a complete c*nt you are. Up until now I've respected you for being a red, but seeing as you dont give a 5hit about that I'll treat you with the contempt you deserve. Anywhere and everywhere
Backing Gooners to go unbeaten at home/win their 1st 3 Games just came back to bite me on my Arsenal LAA though
what the feck are you on about? I am not wumming you at all. ive merely pointed out that this football lark, is beyond you. If you don't get that the result is the single most important aspect, there's no hope. Everything else is a bonus. As for respect, the last few weeks you've been getting sly little digs in. I throw one back and you have a tantrum. You're in your 40s aren't you? Act like it.
I'm remember when Man U won about 7 games on the trot 1-0 when Cantona was playing , those results won you the league didn't see any fluid performances there but people will only remember that you won the league. Same as Chelsea second half of last season not pretty but in 4 years time the only thing you will see is Champions.
Ofcourse you're right and dont get me wrong, those results (those periods of 6 or 7 games) are needed. BUT that's not what defined us as a club. Our approach was always to aspire to play expansive football. The need for games like those you've stated in the wider context I'm talking about is exactly the mark of champions. Moments during a season where you have to dig deep and rely on the individual. Somewhere along the way that definition has been substituted for having your WHOLE approach to playing football in that way. My point is, that's not what your overall footballing philosophy should aspire to be.
Good result for the Dippers and a great goal by Coutinho. How much do you think they'll get for him next summer?
U21s currently drawing 1-1 with Leicester, Fletcher scored an unfortunate og but Varella equalised against the run of play with a good solo goal.
Fair play to City. Been the most impressive team this weekend. I'll also say that I think Navas is going to prove a lot of ppl wrong this season. He was absolute class at Sevilla but I kind of accepted he wasnt going to adapt to the prem. Think we'll see this season, he has.
£100 mil to Barcelona. Stick him behind Messi, Suarez, and his good buddy Neymar and you've got a serious goal threat... I wish the lad well though, comes across as a very honest professional young man. He'll be up there with the best in the world one day without question imho.
Yeah you're right. Messi, Suarez and Neymar just sounds toothless, but when you stick Coutinho into the mix then you've got a serious goal threat Coutinho's a good player, and one of the few Liverpool players who gets better every year, but no chance Barca would want to stick him in the space Messi and Neymar drop into and get so much joy from. He'll probably head to Chelsea once Mourinho gets tired of trolling Spurs fans with Willian.
No idea, just looking at the score on the phone. They always start well and everyone declares them champions. And then they always have a period when they just lose interest so I wouldn't worry just yet!
