    Quick! we need to call him today and say that he should join "the premier league leaders" <laugh>

    Though personally i don't see Man City winning by a 3 goal margin tonight, so could be top of the league for an entire week!

    He was brilliant in his first season for us.

    He was poor last season, but he was carrying an injury for much of it, something resolved with surgery at the start of the summer.

    He looked back to his old self on Saturday.

    Bit of a difference in quality. I'd expect a £5m midfielder to walk that division..

    Indeed, that's true, but it wasn't just about the opposition. He's lost weight and just looks all round sharper, probably helped by the fact that we've loaned Hayden from Arsenal to play defensive midfield, allowing him to get further up the pitch.

    I like Huddlestone as a player but he was out of position last season imo - I see him more as an attacking midfielder in the thick of things in the opposition half rather then one that starts the moves from his own.

    You won't find many to argue with you there, most of us thought him wasted playing so deep last season.

    Anyway, why are you lot trying to sign Gok Wan, I imagine he's a rubbish footballer? :emoticon-0112-wonde

    Huddlestone is a very good midfielder and should walk the championship but he isn't what we should be looking for. If Drinkwater plays like he did on Saturday then Huddlestone won't get in our team

    Agreed, we need someone more defensive. With Drinkwater and King we have attacking play and creativity, Kante offers lots of energy, and James when he returns will do the same. We basically need a better version of Dean Hammond. Remember we were all expecting Cambiasso to play defensive midfield last season as that was what he'd played at Inter Milan, but he'd basically had to play that role there as Sneijder was the more creative force. Inler still top choice for me.
