That betting on who will win The Apprentice must be a license to print money for anybody on the inside. I used to work with a couple of people that made some beer money using their inside knowledge of the call stats to bet on who would get voted off Big Brother each week but the bookies will not take big bets as they only offer the odds for the publicity they get out of it.

Personally I expect Helen to win on Sunday because the Final is an interview stage and they all have to produce a business plan. Although she does not have any background running a business, she has shown the ability to plan and her winning team on Wednesday did have something of a plan written down.

Jim has spent the whole process kissing the Blarney Stone and Tom is too introverted. Susie’s youth is going to count against her as I think she will not have any experience of producing a business plan.

I'm inclined to agree with Reliable Man, he won the French Derby on only his 3rd race course appearance, so he clearly has more potential to improve than Treasure Beach, so il be with Reliable Man also

Why is Aiden O'Brien only interested in giving instructions to Ryan Moore on Markmanship?

    A backup bet me thinks.

Unlucky today joe, keep reeling those winners off!!

What does everythink of the Grand Prix. Really thought Seville was going to win (and hoping, had a small e/w wager on him) until what a ride for Maxime Guyon, played the perfect waiting game! then struck! Treasure beach was disappointing imo. But was a very good race

Treasure Beach didn't stay the trip in the soft ground, he may be a Galileo colt, but there isn't much stamina on the dam side, so the testing conditions probably allowed Seville to reverse form, and he has plenty of stamina in his pedigree.

Not sure what excuses could be made for Reliable Man, before the race I felt he was good thing, but clearly he just isnt good enough, he should have enjoyed the ground, and improved for the step up in trip.

The winner looked impressive, and had clearly progressed having scraped home in a listed race last time, must admit I didn't give him much of a chance beforehand, but that's racing

I've tried to gather all tips from Joe and shown the return to £1 level stakes. Hope I haven't missed any winners. All prices are SP. I have assumed all selections with SP 10/1 or higher to be ew bets. I've sorted winning bets by Amount Returned on stake and losing bets by date etc. Can obviously analyse and sort in any order if required.

I think everyone would regard this as impressive tipping and, although I haven't checked, I think it compares favourably with the Timeform Jury Service.

I've also tried to categorise them by Very Confident (accompanied by bullish comments), Fairly Confident (no comment other than "nap"), Mention (just mentioned), Caution (accompanied by cautionary comment), Personal Choice (where it's clear this is a personal selection). But that's open to interpretation and I haven't shown that report.

Not really Shergar, I just used the naps system. Spent most of the day in the courtyard. Weeds and grass had flourished too well and I've had my hands full trying to tidy up. Still a long way to go.

Ron this board really owes you thanks for what you are making it for everyone, you have really come into your own since 606 kicked the bucket.

These stats are superb, i would be very surprised if any tipsters are bettering 60% profit on turnover after around 100 bets. I have never used a racing service but have always felt that if you did you would be paying someone for their homework and sharpness of judgement but i would be surprised if many make anywhere near 60% as i have always felt the ones like Henry Rix rely on making around 10% - 20% of a high turnover if lucky.

The other thing with Joe is he seems to be resisting all the usual traps of good tipsters in as much as getting over excited and losing selectivness when winning and he doesnt trot out the betting cliches (tomorrow will probably post one up and say fill your boots lads this wins head in its chest). He seems like a nice guy to me, he knows he's doing well and getting rightly applauded for great performance but is not getting silly so lets keep appreciating him and supporting him.

Reliable Man was very dissappointing, have to say Mosse gave the horse alot to do but wether he would have beaten the winner, I doubt it. At the minute, I think Pour Moi is head and shoulders above the rest of the middle distance 3yos.

Thanks for doing that Ron, very interesting. Hopefully can keep it going and cut out the losers. I cant remeber every tip I have put up but judging by the effort you have put into that, I doubt you have missed anything.

I have been using racecaller for a while and its basically a tipping game where you post 1 bet a day and you can win free bets for finishing in the top 10 every month. A couple of times i have forgot to post and my fancies have won but i have a reasonable record on there. Here is the link to my page if anyone is interested http://www.racecaller.com/user/joe90 there are some good tipsters on that site btw.

    Hamilton
    7.45 Doc Hay

I fancy this strongly tomorrow for reasons that would take up to much space here. Long story short, things didnt work out for him last time, he is still ahead of his mark and he has a nice draw. I would like to see rain as the softer the better for him but he has sneaked in at the bottom and im sure barring bad luck, he will run a big race at 7/1.

I will post tomorrow if I come across anything.

No! My user name is copied from him though, he is a bit crazy, Elvis impersonator and he posts about 30 horses everyday claiming them all to be "tips". His name fitted well with the "Straight From The Trainer" joke.

After many more video replays I think Doc Hay does have a big chance. I'm not as confident as before with my nap Ginger Ted.

The step up in trip to 6F should suit Doc Hay who seems to start slowly, hangs a bit during races and finishes well. In such a large field DH may not get the time to thread it's way through if it was over 5F.

So I will back both. <laugh>
