    I must confess that I'd never heard of this fellow.

    Henry Moseley was an outstandingly skilled experimental physicist. In 1913 he used self-built equipment to prove that every element’s identity is uniquely determined by the number of protons it has. His discovery enabled him to predict confidently the existence of four new chemical elements, all of which were found.

    Forgive me for being flippant Dr Stanley but I came to Australia with my best mate and his family who were called Moseley. Sadly he (Fred) has passed on but this is his son Shane who is into Harley-Davidson's which I believe run on protons!
    I don't think they'd be any relation to your illustrious Physicist.
