  2. I don't know (and couldn't be arsed to look) who the five players were but realised some may have already become (or still have the possibility of becoming) HG players too.

    What does EU citizenship matter?

    EU citizens have automatic right to live and work in the UK i.e. no work permit application needed

    its a way round the work permit here.

    remember leto?

    once the get naturalized some place you no longer need them to play 75% of internationals to qualify and they are then done.

    the point about new prem rules if we get down to 13 foreign means they are really just getting to the point that they are really of little value bar selling on.

  5. Gathered that but makes no difference to HG ruling.

    No work permits needed, makes it easier to use or sell them. There are restrictions (different in every EU league) as to how many non-EU players you can buy, have in your squad or use on a match day.
    EU citizenship therefore means these players no longer count under those restrictions.

    Paul Joyce from the Express says that Lucas has fallen out with Rodgers and can be expected to be sold.

    slight exaggeration i'd say but i would say he's been told he can't ****ing run and its best to go.

    He'll have no bother getting a club so i hope we get a fee and wish him all the very best and a good lad who's a pro who's not whined and has tried to get on with it... simple fact is he can't get round.

  11. If true about Lucas and Brod, I hope he goes to another PL side and shows how much of a twat Brod's been.

    Only read it quickly - not sure if it said 'fallen out with Rodgers' or 'fallen out of favour'.

    Either way - the lad needs to go. <ok>

    yes. but i doubt it will be this window.

    Lucas is too useful for europa.

    and we are light in midfield unless rodgers persists with this silly formation that will cost him his job.

    Lucas won't leave unless we sign another midfielder. We're too light if not.

    Allen = sicknote + ****
    Can = starter
    Milner = Starter
    Hendo - Starter

    I make that 4 CM/DMs if we exclude Lucas, too few.

    totally agree

    the worst scenario is rodgers thinks he should go as can is not a starter and lallana is.

    Doesnt surprise me. Was dropped for large periods last season.

    Fallen out out is probably not quite eighth, Rodgers probably just wants to favour his own signings. Get rid of Lucas and it's only Skrtel left.

    I like Lucas but unfortunately he's never recovered from that injury when he was finally hitting top form.

    Hes bot not quite quick of physical enough to play DM in England. Can see him going to Italy where slower game will suit him.

    #13659
  20. Maybe but he's still our best option there.
