My concern exactly. It is just so frustrating, 2 players is all we really need. You could argue another winger and striker but they are not urgent. Cisse/Mitrovic/Perez/SDJ can give us the goals and Aarons/Sissoko/Obertan/Perez/Gini give us creativity and flexibility wide.

I don't understand this left back situation. Do they really think Haidara or Dummett are going to cut it? Unless they put Mbemba there as he can play there. Perhaps they just don't rate whats available at centre back and left back. However other clubs seem to find whatever they need!

And if they do want a winger, why are they not busting a gut to get Shaqiri who is about to join Stoke (was at their game today)

Don't know but the quality players that the lesser clubs are getting like ourselves is getting scary. Seriously every club has match winners

I completely agree about not rating Haidara. Does he have something we don't see but successive managers do? I certainly don't see it but he's still getting picked. In the Fantasy Football I was expecting bonus points for Wiji if any of our players got them. Instead they went to Cisse (3pts), Haidara (2pts) and Tadic (1pt). I think they base those on Opta stats. Even one of the Southampton fans on their thread was raving about wishing they had Sissoko and Haidara. Are we too blinded by past mistakes to see what he really offers? Like I said, I'm not defending him - just trying to understand.

Thought Sissoko was good and I understand why other clubs want him. Haidara? They have Bertrand! <laugh> Out at the moment but they need their heads examined. . Haidara has some of the attributes of a modern full back, the problem is his ball control, positional sense, closing down and general defending is conference level stuff. Tadic made him look every bit the amateur level his game is at.

When he was spinning round wondering where he was I felt sorry for the lad.

His deflected cross gets him the bonus points.

If he could cross a ball I'd show a bit more understanding of his defensive limitations, but he very rarely produces the end product that the rest of his forward play warrants. Defensively he offers very little and I'd prefer to see Dummett in there (out of those two), but its an area we really lack serious options in.

Yes, but not many. Most of the score is made up of pass completion, tackles made, etc

I have a theory that they have a CB in mind, but he is not available yet. It is painfully obvious that we need one, but we don't seem to be linked with any at all and the club keeps stating that they are looking at potential transfers across the next few transfer windows. Lets hope there is actually a longer term plan rather than 'hands over the eyes and hope its ok'
